7 Print from MEFFStation on Terminal Server.

The method used to print implies the PDF files creation. Every printing option allowed by MEFFStation will generate a file with PDF extension and no name in the user desktop. It is important to add a name to the recent printed file. Otherwise, two consecutive files could overwrite each other. Once the PDF file has a name in desktop, it can be dragged to “Shortcut To Your Computer” icon, in that moment the PDF file will be downloaded to client computer drive C:\, where it can be printed in paper.

8 How to get Raw Date Files.

There are two ways to get the Raw Data Files, in real time and at the end of the session when the terminal has just received the end of the market. The Raw Data Files are already prepared to automatically be generated at the end of the session. To see and to copy the Raw Data Files once generated the client need to click the “Shortcut to Automatic End of Session Raw Files” icon. To obtain the Raw Data Files during the session, click on “Actions” in the MEFFStation menu and the following screen will be shown:

Just mark the relevant files and click the option “Generate Now”. The marked Raw Data Files will be generated in the directory “Shortcut to Manually generated Raw Files”. Both the files and the printed reports included in “Shortcut to your Computer” will be sent to the client PC. Depending on the size of the file, this operation can impact response time.

9 Terminal Server contingency.

During the installation process, the Meff Technical Helpdesk will provide to each client with two IP addresses corresponding to the main Terminal Server and to the alternative Terminal Server. In a normal situation each client can connect to its main Terminal Server but it cannot connect the alternative one. The purpose of the alternative Terminal Server is only as a backup just in case there is a problem with the main one. In those cases the client will establish the Remote Desktop with the address of the alternative Terminal Server.
