PHOTO ALBUMS

The Photo Album Shelf List consists of two numbering systems, the “A” series and theregular numbered series. Many of the images in the “A” series are prints made fromeither lantern slides or glass plates, and then bound into photo albums without captions orother identification. The regular numbered series lists photo albums organizedalphabetically by subject, such as “missions,” and then photo albums by specific parkunits. In all cases, the album title listed below is the exact title listed on the original photoalbum, which may signify either the subject matter or the previous owner of the images.Editorial and explanatory comments are enclosed in brackets.
