Guide to Online Shopping -‐ Microbiology International Thank you for visiting our online store. We have setup our ecommerce store to be a secure shopping experience while also, easy to use. The first thing you will need to do is setup an online account. If you already have an online account, you can skip to the second page of this guide. Creating an online account is easy. On the homepage of the store, click on “Create an account” in the upper left portion of the page.
Enter your billing address, shipping address, email address and choose a secure password. If you are going to be paying by credit card, please make sure that the billing address matches the credit card billing address otherwise your card could be declined.
Once you are logged in as a registered user, you will be able to purchase items. For help on the shopping cart or adding items to the shopping cart, please see this help page. Once you have selected your items for purchase, click View Cart, then click the Checkout button. Step 1 of the checkout displays the information on your account including shipping address, billing address and email address. There is also a list of selected items below the address information.
Step 2 of the checkout process includes selecting a desired shipping service level. Choose your desired shipping service level and check the box to agree to our Shipping, Return and Privacy Policies. Some service levels are not available in all areas. The service levels available in your shipping zip code are displayed and are the only shipping options available. Any refrigerated products require overnight shipping, such as prepared plates, PCR consumables and test kits.
Step 3 is the payment section. You can checkout by paying with a credit card or with a PO number. If you purchase by credit card, please make sure that the billing zip code on your online account profile, matches what the credit card company has on their records. If paying by Account Number, please provide your PO number and Customer Number (if you know it). You must fax or email a hard copy of your Purchase Order within 48 hours for your order to be processed. Fax#: (301)662-‐8096 or [email protected]
Once you click on Place your Order button, the order will be sent to our office for processing. You will receive an email with your order confirmation in a few minutes and you can click on the Print Page link to print out a copy directly from the confirmation page.
You will be updated by email when your item(s) ships. If you have paid by credit card, your card is not billed until we ship your item(s), but the card is authorized for the amount right away. You can check the status of your order at any time from your account profile. Just click the Order History link in your profile for a list of processed orders. It will display the status and the order number. Click on the order number for a more detailed view of the order.
