What is Guided Math?Guided Math is a way to meet the needs of all students through small group instruction.

Why Use a Guided Math Structure?

Guided Math allows teachers to:

• Differentiate instruction

• Scaffold lessons

• Engage with short, focused lessons

• Reteach

• Provide immediate feedback

3-4 Daily Rotations

20 minute per rotation

Rotations:• Math with the Teacher• Math with a Partner• Math with Technology• Math Independently

How is Guided Math Organized?

Math with the Teacher:• Focused, small group instruction• Grouped based on abilities• Groups are made using data • Short, engaging lessons

Math with a Partner:• Relates to our math PDSA for the week• Math Games• Math Tasks• Math Projects

Math with Technology:• Computers• Ipads• Kindles

Math Independently:• Follow-up practice • Fact Practice• Math Journals• Math Projects• Math Task Cards• Independent Math Games
