GUIDELINES - eRAKSHA COMPETITION 2020

Guidelines – TechAvishkar

1. Participants need to fill up an online form at www.eraksha.net, and after the successful regis-tration they will be receiving a unique ID that will be used for all future communications, so it must be kept secured.

2. Participants can register as a team. Maximum team size should be 3.

3. Each team can submit only one entry.

4. Participants should ensure that the solution should address problems faced in cyberspace, viz. Cyber Bullying, Trolling, Privacy Issues, Misinformation, detection of cyber crimes etc.

5. The competition challenges the registered teams to create any kind of hardware, software or firmware prototypes or models which showcase the innovations like innovative tools , software applications, data models , IOT models, robotics.

6. Participants can upload the code on github and share the link on eRaksha website if any.

7. Participants should submit a presentation, including screenshots , images of the prototype or model developed along with the description of the work , specifications, electronic components used , purpose of the product , challenges , financial viability in .PPT or .PPTX format of maximum 10 slides. The presentation should represent the actual thinking and way of solving the real issue.

8. The PPT should also contain the following things:

a. For Software:

i. For Desktop Software: Participants should mention the language that they are using like C, C++ etc. Screenshots of some special features of the software, some special libraries that they might have used and how their solution solves the real issue.

ii. For Web Application: Mention the front-end technologies that have been used like HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery or any other Framework libraries. Mention the server side scripting technologies like PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, Perl, Ruby, PyThon etc. Mention any special Web Application framework you have used. Give a web application life cycle model that shows how your application is running and that can solve a real issue and some screenshots.

iii. For Mobile Application: Participants need to mention the platform for which they are making the app like Android, ios. They also need to mention the Technologies used and how their application is working in background as well as frontend. They need to visualize their thoughts with the life cycle of the app and how it will solve the real issue.

iv. For Operating System (OS): Participants need to mention the high level language used, they also need to mention the low level language like assembly language, what processor the OS will be supporting like x86, MIPS, PowerPC etc.

b. For Hardware: Participants need to mention the peripherals that they have used to make the machinery and picturize each part of their machine. They also need to give a brief description and visualize the working procedure with some images and how it fits to the mentioned themes.

c. For Firmware: Participants need to mention the coding and technologies that they have used to make the firmware, they need to visualise their thoughts and how the firmware actu-ally correlates with the hardwares.

9. The submitted work should be original, plagiarised or copied content will lead to disqualification.

10. The winners will be selected on sole discretion of the jury and no RTI will be entertained for this.

11. Having any malicious intent will lead to disqualification.
