CIMA is unable to complete your registration until we receive your certified educational documents. This applies regardless of whether you are applying for exemptions. Guidelines for Sending in your Educational Documents Each page of your documents must be signed by a responsible person, for example your line manager or one of your lecturers, as a “True copy of the original” (N.B these words must appear on the front of the document otherwise your documents may not be accepted and your registration will be delayed). The person who signs these documents MUST have seen the original; they are signing the document to confirm this. The person signing your documents should ensure that they PRINT their name next to their signature The person signing the documents must not be related to you. Where possible an official company/university stamp should be used when certifying documents. Where this is not possible the declaration should be hand written by the individual signing the documents. Guidelines for Documents to Send In You should send in ALL documents relating to EVERY qualification you have of a HND or higher standard. This should include the certificate and the transcripts detailing the modules passed and mark obtained for all years of the qualification. If you do not have qualifications of a HND or higher standard you should send in certified copies of your highest educational award – if you are unable to do this please contact CIMA Contact. When a certificate is not available you should obtain a letter from the awarding institution confirming the title of the award, the year in which you gained it and that you passed the award. When a transcript is not available you should obtain a letter from the awarding institution which should detail the modules undertaken, the mark achieved in these modules and where possible the module codes. If you are unable to provide a certificate or transcript and provide a letter in its place, please clearly state this on your header sheet . If your documents were not issued in English then please provide translated copies (which should be certified as an accurate translation of the original) along with certified copies in the original language. Please do NOT send in original documents – CIMA cannot guarantee that these will be returned to you and will not take any responsibility for any original documents that are lost. Please do NOT send copies of your course syllabi. CIMA cannot process your documents if we have not received both the certificate and transcript(s). Failure to send all documents in will result in a delay to your registration
