Guidelines for writing the project report: Each team should consider its written report as an ‘executive briefing’. The body of the report should  provide a concise summary of the status quo, at the same time due considera tion shall be given to the conclusions and analysis your team has done. The conclusions and implications should be well supported  by theory, logic and evidenc e. The report will focus on three major parts namely : i) industry and competitive analysis, ii) company analysis and iii) issues, recommendations and implications. The industry and competitive analysis should emphasize your assessment of overall industry attractiveness, the driving forces in the industry and the key success factors which any company must attend to if they wish to succeed. The competitive analysis section should aim at identifying the key competitors within the industry along with their brief description regarding strategy followed each competitor. Your analysis shall not be mere recitations of facts but interpretation of the analysis conducted of these facts supported by rationale. The company analysis section should include articulation and description of the company’s strategy and  present functiona l strategies. This secti on will also include a detai led discussion of the firm’s value ch ain and its interlinked activities as well as how this may / may not support firm’s strategy along with succinct elaboration of company’s advantage-producing resources and core competencies. The last part of the report will cover issues, strategic recommendations and performance implications;  built on the first two parts. Team should spend time to provide a cogent rationale as to how the recommendations build on the value chain and resource positions of the company, or will require building new valuable propositions .
