THE LESS IS MORE WARDROBE

Eva Polizzi4 Thursdays beginning July 96:30PM - 8:30PM

If we slow down our consumption and take the time to reuse, remake and mend our clothes, we won’t only extend the life of them, but we will also gain a sense of con-nectedness through the slow and mindful process. This class will offer thoughtful and creative solutions as we re-imagine garments while honoring our collective handcraft heri-tage: hand-sewing, embroidery, applique and quilting. Participants can embellish “sad” but still-loved tops, mend jeans, deconstruct ill-fitting clothes, or make something entirely new. The class is suitable for complete begin-ners, but more seasoned stitchers will find plenty of inspiration.

MATERIALS NEEDED:• Natural fabrics are best for hand-

sewing, especially cotton (t-shirts). Very basic sewing supplies will suffice to get started (needles, thread, sharp scissors and a few notions.) It might be a good idea to ask around (friends and family) before purchasing a lot of things.
