GuiXT Accelerators ASSET INFORMATION Asset # PM - 0018 Version # 1.0.0.1 Functional Area PLANT MAINTENANCE UI Platform DS Transactions IW31, IW32, IW33 Short Description CREATE WORK ORDERS FOR FLEET Business Scenario Work orders are created by maintenance supervisors and maintenance mechanics for vehicles that arrive for service in the fleet. After vehicle arrives, driver tells Service Writer or the foreman the problem with the vehicle. Service Writer creates and prints a work order which describes the tasks to be performed in the vehicle. Service Writer determines any OEM warranty or preventive maintenance applicable to the vehicle. Then work order is assigned to a mechanic. Mechanic writes odometer reading on the work order and enters reading into SAP. Mechanic determines which parts are needed and gets them from the Parts Manager. Parts get issued from the inventory to the work order. If parts can not be issued from the inventory, a purchase order is created to procure parts needed. After the repair, reviews parts and labor, make necessary changes and marks order as complete. Work orders are filed in numeric order for 3 months. A minimum amount of change to the look and feel of the GuiXT screens that are exist in fleet management is needed to migrate to the new environment. Process needs to work on a single work station. Asset Description GuiXT Solution is implemented to create a central platform for creation of work orders. GuiXT implementation allows work orders to be created with minimal input. Type of notification that is associated with the particular work order tat has been created is displayed to the user. Instead of displaying whole order information to the user at once, GuiXT creates steps in the process for reducing user errors and manage these errors.
