1 Statue of Unity

Statue of Unity, world’s tallest statue openedits doors to the public on the 31st ofOctober, 2018. Standing tall at 182 meters, itis almost twice as tall as the statue of liberty.It is situated on an island platform, facingthe Narmada dam. This Statue of Unity inGujarat encloses a viewers' gallery at aheight of 135 meters which can be reachedthrough a lift, running at a speed of 4metres per second. It also has a museumand an exhibition hall inside the statue,depicting the life and times of India's 'IronMan', Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

2 Somnath Temple

Somnath Temple is an important landmarkin Gujarat. It's popurarity is only exceededby theDwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka. The templeis located 5 kms from Junagadh. The templeis considered as one of the twelveJyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. It is believed to bethe place from where Lord Krishnaembarked on his last journey. It is said that Somnath was built out of goldby Somraj and was later rebuilt by Ravana insilver. Interestingly, the temple was built andrebuilt several times in the course of its richhistory having being destroyedsixteen times by Muslim invaders. Nowonder it's called 'the Shrine Eternal'.
