We are pleased to inform you after great success of FOUR “Centralized Placement Fair of

Pharmacy" in the year 2014 and 2015, under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Dr. Akshai

Aggarwal Sir, Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Technological University, Faculty of Pharmacy

going to organize 5th

Saturday and Sunday at GTU, Chandkheda campus, Ahmedabad.

Who can participate?

Any final semester / year student studying with GTU affiliated Pharmacy College in any of

below mentioned course:

1. Diploma in Pharmacy

2. Bachelor of Pharmacy

3. Master of Pharmacy

Objectives

This placement fair is organized with an objective to provide platform to the Pharmacy

students of 2016 batch (FRESHERS ONLY) studying with any GTU affiliated

pharmacy college. During this event, screening and selection of pharmacy students for

various job openings (Total 805 openings) in different pharmaceutical companies (Total 51

Pharma companies) of Gujarat will be done.

Read important instructions carefully before doing online registration

1) All companies are divided in 3 group namely Group A, B and C.

2) Students can select any one company (any one particular job profile) from each

group. That means each student will get maximum three (03) choices for the

company in the registration form.

3) See the list of all companies mentioned under Group A, B and C along with their

job profile and then do appropriate selection.

4) It is advisable that you should check respective company’s website to understand their requirement for the post and if it is suitable to you then only do selection of said company and said job profile.

5) Response once submitted online will not be changed. 6) Participation in Pre- Placement workshop is mandatory. 7) But if any student has not participated in any of Pre- Placement workshop held at

seven (07) different places across the state, due to some genuine reason, such student has to bring hand written request letter (in favor of the college Principal) and duly signed and stamped by the college principal at the time of interview.

D.Pharm/B.Pharm/ M.Pharm students have to register online using below mentioned

What students have to bring on the day of Placement Fair?

1. Updated C.V- five to six hard copies.

2. Passport size photograph- five copies.

3. All testimonials: original & five to six set photocopy of the same.

4. Identity card issued by the institute or bonafide certificate with photograph

issued by the institute.

General Notes

1. It is advisable that students should come in professional dress on the day of

Placement Fair.

2. Few companies may take their screening test on the day of interview, so students

have to be ready for the same. Such exams may include questions of GK, logic,

reasoning, aptitude and technical knowledge pertaining to respective course. In

this case, students who will qualify in this test will be allowed to appear in

personal interview of such companies.

3. It is the sole description of participating company to conduct interview as per

their HR Policy.

4. If student get selected/short listed by any company, then it will be the sole

responsibility of student to discuss financial component and other terms &

condition lay down by the recruiting company. GTU will not intervene in HR

Policy of any recruiting Company.

5. GTU will try to give chance of interview to all candidates as per their preference

and as per their merits (CPI). But it will be the sole discrimination of GTU

authority to do alteration in the same (if required).

6. Out of 51 participating companies, half companies are coming on 9th April

2016, Saturday and rest 50 % will come on 10th April 2016, Sunday, so it is

advisable that student should plan to attend both days of event and plan their

trip accordingly.

7. For students coming from out of Ahmedabad, GTU hostel facility (Only for Boys)

(At Sector 24, Gandhinagar) will be available upon request (at nominal charges.
