We all are very appreciated and first of all thank to Steelcon Impex Pvt. Ltd

for giving to us permission to visit in their industries and it’s unit of various

sector of machining room.

We all are specially thanks to Mr. Nilesh Hadiya and Mr. Aditya Pandya,

members of machine controller for their effective explanation and helping us

about different machining process which should be done in industries.

We heartily thank to all technicians and engineers are present in that

company for delivering practical knowledge to us which used in current era.

Entry at SteelconImpexLtd.Pvt.

We all are very excited for looking industries before taking entry

in the industries. All the students are ready for visit the different types

of machines are found in that company. Before the entry of the

company all students are divided into 9-9 group. Due to this reason

students are understand effectively whatever explain by the technicians.

The industrial visit was organized at Steelcon Impex Pvt. Ltd. Rajkot by

theMechanical department of 3rd

and 5th

sem students on 23 september, 2017. The

main aim of the industrial visit is to provide practical knowledge of different

types of manufacturing process. The theoretical concept of various process are

study in our syllabus but, with the help of the industrial visit we can easily

understand the process are done how to practically possible.

The number of students who have register their name in visit about 31 total

students. The visit was under the guidance and responsibility of prof. Rohan

Kariya. At the starting time of visit all students are inform that about do not

reach any place where danger area are found.

First of all the 1st group was entered into the foundry sector, in this sector

the process of melting metal are explained by Nilesh Hadiya. Some Students are

ask the questition to the explainer, whichever he confused or any process cannot

understand directly. The foundry is run at very high temp. due to this reason all

the raw material are melt pourlly and it ready for the casting.

The capacity of foundry for the melt the raw material about 150kg. The

foundry are operate by means of the hydraulic jack mechanism. The foundry are

operate with the help of the water in which the current supply are attached. All

the operating mechanism of the foundry are arrange in ground level.

The explanation are given to the second group by Aditya Pandya. After this

group 2nd

group was sent for the same session.

When both the group are completed 1st session, then both the group are

ready for the 2nd

session.In the second session, in which the sample of the clay

has been checked.Thesample of clay check by appropriate apparatus which are

found in the laboratory.

After the tested sample which are ready to made for pattern of different

parts. After make the pattern, then it will be ready for pouring the melting metal.

The solidification time of the melting metal are provided for some hours.the

pouring mechanism of pattern are automatic operated on conveyor belt by the

operator.

After the complitation of that session of foundry sector then we all are visit

to the 2nd

sector which is machining process. In second sector, disfferent types of

machining process can be done on to the casted parts with the help of theNon

convetional machine such like CNC,VMC,ULTRASONIC TESTING machine

are found in that sector.

In 2nd

sector the casted parts are supply from the foundry sector. The

explanation about the CNC,VMC machine are given to us with the help of the

operator.

In such type of machine there are more than one machining process are

done at a time. If any defect are there in the part, then it has to be return to the

further operation for desired output(design). All the students very kindly listen to

the technician, whatever he talk to us. If any query are found that students then

ask the question to him. The technician and engineers are gave answer to each

and every question asked by the students very humbly and politaly. The

technicians are told that about how many opportunities are there in industries in

nowadays.

At the end of the visit the main aim of the visit was fulfilled very

preciously and valuably by the students and all the staff member of the

company by providing valuable knowledge to with us.

So, we all are again heartly thanks to all member of Steelcon Impex

Pvt.Ltd. and faculty of mechanical department for organized visit.

At the last we all are request to mechanical department for arrange further

such type of industrial visit will organize.
