PHYSICAL EDUCATION

•H.O.P.E. Health Opportunities through Physical Education

– Required for graduation

– Certain sports will require athletes to participate in a special HOPE class-placement will be done by coaches

HOPE Waiver Options

▪ One semester of Marching Band, Color Guard, or Dance class will waive ½ credit of the physical education portion of HOPE. Students will still be required to take either ½ credit of HOPE or ½ credit of Personal Fitness.

• Two years of ROTC will satisfy the HOPE and Fine Art requirement.

• Two seasons of a junior varsity or varsity sport will waive the HOPE requirement.
