2. Applications are invited for the recruitment of one post of Research Associate in Research Cooperation Agreement Between KIGAM and UAF titled “Column study of gold bioleaching from low grade gold ore” at a consolidated pay of Rs. 20,000/ per month with qualification of M.Sc./M.Phil (Chemistry) having at least 3.00 CGPA. Applications are invited for one post of PhD Student at a consolidated pay of 400/ Euro (to be paid in rupees in line with the project conversion rate) per month in the AVRDC funded project entitled “Seed Inoculation with Rhizobium and Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR)”. Applicant should possess M.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture in Soil Science with minimum of B grade (CGPA: 3.00). preference will be given to the PhD students/M.Sc. (Hons) final semester students doing or having completed dissertation research in Soil Microbiology and Biochemistry. Eligibility: PhD students who have good academic credentials and are actively engaged in the research activities relating to the discipline and have potential to assist the senior teachers. GURMANI FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP ACADEMIC SESSION 201516 Applications are invited from the deserving undergraduate and post graduate students for the award of subject scholarship preferably who have domicile of Muzaffargarh, Multan, D.G. Usman Tariq Regd. No. 2004ag1293, a PhD student of Institute of Horticultural Sciences will defend
his PhD thesis at University level on 04052015 at 02:30 pm in the video conference room UAF. The title of his thesis is “Evaluating role of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) to increase flower production, flower periodicity and essential oil contents in Rosa damascene Mill”.
2. Mr. Muhammad Sohaib, Regd. No. 2005ag1570 PhD student of the National Institute of Food Science & Technology, UAF will defend his PhD thesis on 11052015 at 11:00 am in the video conference room of new Building National Institute of Food Science & Technology. The topic of his thesis is “Production and bioevaluation of functional broiler meat”. All members and interested persons are cordially invited.
3. Miss Sadia Aslam, Regd. No. 2006ag198, PhD Biochemistry student of the Department of Biochemistry has successfully defended her thesis entitled “Potential of Different Strains of Pleurotus for Laccase Enzyme Production” as required under the rules on 06042015.
4. Mr. Zafar Ullah, Regd. No. 2005ag1158, PhD Animal Nutrition student of Institute of Animal Sciences defended his PhD thesis defense on 25042015 at 02:00 pm in the Distance Learning Center2, UAF. His findings were thoroughly discussed by the audience. The supervisory committee the student critically evaluated his presentation and interpretation of results. The committee found it acceptable and allowed the final submission of his thesis.
