WHAT DO THEY EAT?
They eat shrimp, mysids, plankton and isopods
HOW DO THEY TRAVEL?
By swimming slowly with
their pod.
WHERE DO THEY LIVE?
They live in the Eastern North Pacific Ocean from Mexico to Alaska.
DANGERS ALONG THE WAY!They gather close to the shore which makes them easy targets for whalers who
catch them.
They can also get caught in drift nets, have collisions with boats, pollution and be chased by giant killer whales.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE THEM TO
TRAVEL?3 to 5 months. The migration journey is going from north to south and then back to
their home place.
WHERE DO THEY TRAVEL THROUGH?
They travel off the coast of Mexico, USA and Canada.
