His wife, Marguerite, was a seventh grade English and Social Studies teacher inthe Center junior high school. The Cooks collected materials pertaining to Tule Lake and other relocation centersthroughout World War II. They also corresponded with teachers and internees who left the Tule Lake in the course of theWar.Scope and ContentThis collection contains materials collected by the Cooks during their employment at Tule Lake. Much of the collection focuses on education, although there are also materials of a more general and of a more specifically personal nature. Of particular interest are faculty narratives describing the problems of teaching in a relocation center and student autobiographies chronicling their adjustment to relocation. The collection also contains substantial clippings and report files
