Our grammar school is situated in Podbradova street in the immediate vicinity of Lounys town centre (Louny is about 50 km from Prague). Notre lyce est situ dans la rue Podbradova au centre de ville de Louny ( 50 km de la capitale - Prague).It was named after a famous mathematician Vclav Hlavat, who used to study here. The year of foundation dates back to 1896. Le lyce a et nom daprs le mathmaticien clbre Vclav Hlavat, qui faisait ses tudes ici. Sa fondation date de 1896.This school provides general education and prepares students for university studies. Cette cole donne lducation gnrale et prpare ses lves pour les tudes lUniversit.

It is possible to study a four-year course (from the age of 15) or an eight-year course (from the age of 11). Les lves peuvent tudier pendant quatre ans ( partir de 15 ans) ou pendant huit ans ( partir de 11 ans).Studies are finished by a school leaving examination (maturita) , which has an oral and a written part. Czech and one foreign language are compulsory, other 2 subjects are optional. Next year there will be a new form of this exam. Les tudes sont termines par le baccalaurat, qui a deux parties orale et crite. Le tchque et encore une langue trangre sont obligatoires, 2 matires suivantes sont ligibles. Mais pour lanne scolaire prochaine on prpare la rforme de cet examen.Momentarily, 360 students study at GVH. Maintenant, 360 lves tudient GVH.

The study at GVH also includes excursions and exchange programmes- a ski course in the Alps, exchange programmes with French,German and Dutch schools, an educational weekly stay in the U.K. or a cycling course.Les tudes GVH sont accompagnes par les excursions et les programmes dchange les classes de neige dans les Alpes, les programmes dchange avec les coles en France, Allemagne et aux Pays-Bas, les excursions hebdomadaires dune semaine en Grande Bretagne ou les cours du vlo.

During all their study students take part in many competitions and pass internationally acknowledged language exams language certificates (DELF, FCE).
