Alternative Behavioral Responses to incidents of minor or moderate student misconduct

Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities
Oversees the administration of GW’s academic and non-academic student disciplinary systems
Emphasizes civility, integrity, and personal responsibilityAddresses significant non-academic misconduct which may lead to Loss of Housing, Suspension, or Expulsion
Office of Academic IntegrityProvides educational initiatives to the GW community related to academic dishonesty and facilitates proceedings related to violations of the “Code of Academic Integrity”
Parental Notification
The University notifies parents of alcohol and other drug violations, provided the student is under 21 at the time of notification.
Notification to Parents comes in different forms:Phone Call to Parents (Alcohol & Drug-Related Transports to the Hospital)Letter or Email (if possible)
By working together, Students, Parents and the University can guide a student’s success on GW’s campus both inside and outside the classroom and get the appropriate resources to help students in need
