Webb & Thompson Single Line Staff, brass plated at the end LLANYBYTHER - MAESYCRUGIAU. Measures 23" in length, this was

used on the section between Carmarthen and Aberystwyth, closed February 1965 but did remain open for milk traffic until 1973.

Excellent condition.

GCR Platform Lamp complete with interior having an oval brass plate ‘The Reform Lighting Co., London`. The original, brown paint

suggests it may have come from a GW/GCR Joint station within the London extension. Good overall condition but a small area of

rusting through on the chimney.

4 Carriage Print `Norwich` by H. Tittensor, from the LNER Pre-War series. In an original type, glazed frame. Not common.

27GWR Carriage Mirror, in mahogany frame, 18" x 15", dated on back "7113", inscribed "Mirror from Trailing Lavatory Compartment of

G.W.R. Third No. 4622. Mishap at Hockley, Feb. 6th 1940." Unfortunately no details of this accident are known to the Vendor.

28Cast aluminium alloy, road sign with pointed arrow style end "Railway Station". Ex Avenue Road, Great Malvern, in as-received

29Midland Railway / LMS Signal box board WATER ORTON JNCT wood with cast iron letters, 77" x 10". Ex Midland Railway location at

the junction of the Birmingham to Derby and Birmingham to Nuneaton lines.

30 Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway Signal Finial, 36" tall with ball and zinc spike. A rare example.

31Totem BR(S) GROVE PARK, F/F light green. Ex SECR station between Hither Green and Chislehurst, opened in 1871. Good colour

and shine with a couple of small well matched repairs.

GWR brass cased Drum Clock bearing the manufacturers name `J.M. Skarratt & Co Paris` at the dial top and `G.W.R. beneath the VI.

Case is engraved with the number 2356 but the case and movement isn`t marked. enamel has detached by the IIII and the face has a

number of enamel cracks. Nevertheless, ...[more]

33A pair of Platform Seat Ends, knotted wood style same pattern as the generic seats used by various railway companies including the

Midland Railway. Much original green paint extant, good condition with no loss to cast iron.

34Original Horn Grill from Class 50 number 50010 MONARCH. These grills were prominently fitted above the front of the cab, one either

side.

Smokebox Numberplate 45011. Ex Stanier 4-6-0 Black 5 Locomotive, built Crewe Works in April 1935. A Scottish Loco for many years

40 Shedplate 11D Tebay until June 1960. Face restored rear original.

41A pair of L&NWR Block Instruments, stamped on the side with Stockport etc. One has a support leg missing, otherwise both are pretty

much ex signal box condition.

42 GWR C/I Notice ` Please Adjust Your Dress Before Leaving`. Nice original paintwork.

43LNER 12" Clock numbered 17251 on a small plate on the right hand side door. No pendulum rod, just the weight and no fusee wire so

sold as not working. Original dial with `L.N.E.R. in straight block letters across the face. Originated from a Scottish location.

GWR framed and glazed, hand coloured Signal Box Diagram DUNBALL dated 8/3/21. Measuring 55½" x 20¾", it bears the drawers

name `Arthur Knight`. Opened in 1904, the box controlled one of the few `flat crossings` on the ex GWR, the Wharf Line at Dunball

69Single Line steel Key Token EMBLETON - COCKERMOUTH STATION No 18 . Ex Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway which

closed in 1966. This particular token, the last section after Bassenthwaite Lake.

70GWR Pocket watch by Record with `G.W.R. 0.1406 engraved on rear of case. Complete with Albert and in excellent, undamaged

condition. Full working order.

71LMS alloy "Hawkseye" station sign HELPSTON. Ex Midland station between Bainton Gate and Walton on the Peterborough to Stamford

route. The station opened as Helpstone in 1848 and closed for ever in June 1966.

72Single Line alloy Key Token GLYNDYFRDWY - CARROG. Ex GWR section between Corwen and Ruabon. Closed to passengers in

1965, it is now part of the Llangollen Railway.

73 Brass Worksplate WERKSPOOR 1955. Werkspoor N V Amsterdam. Measures approximately 10" x 3¼".

74 Original Road Sign, "HILL 1 in 11". Retains original brackets and cast with the makers name `Franco Traffic Signs Ltd.`

British Railways Lion-Over-Wheel Emblem mounted on a circular board measuring 23¾" diameter. The vendor has submitted the detail

that prior to the introduction in 1956 of this `ferret & dartboard` style logo, a competition was held and several hand-crafted, unique

77London Transport enamel Target, small size, OXFORD CIRCUS. Three separate pieces mounted within the original bronze frame with

an overall measurement of 17" x 14". Mint condition, mounted on wood for display.

Carriage Print `Leigh-on-Sea, Essex` by Charles King from the LNER post-war series, 1953. At the shore is an old established fishing

community. That happens to be the view from the train and Charles King took this for his inspiration. Thankfully a sixties proposal for a

built at Horwich in this year.

number 1342. Allocations include Bescot, Tyseley, Shrewsbury, Edge Hill, Patricroft and Rose Grove. Made it pretty well until the very

82L&SWR C/I `SHUT THIS GATE`, measuring 18¼" in length together with a L&SWR C/I `PENALTY FOR NOT SHUTTING GATE £2`

measuring 30¼" in length.

Midland Railway 12" fusee Clock bearing the name John Smith Midland Clock Works, Queen St. Derby on the face. Totally original

condition but the oval numberplate is missing although it can be clearly seen where this was originally affixed. In working order and

complete with pendulum and key.

84 Single Line alloy Key Token CAERSWS - TALERDDIG. Ex Cambrian Railway section between Machynlleth and Newtown.

85 Carriage Print `Worcester Cathedral` by Frank Sherwin from the Western series. In an original type glazed frame.

89Cigarette Platform Vending Machines mounted as a pair. Supplied by National Automatic Machines Ltd. One has a Woodbine advert for

2dt, the other a Capstan Navy Cut for 6d advert. In excellent condition except no accompanying key.

90BR(W) Slip Coach Lamp of significant proportions, standing 23" tall. Double bullseye lens, each having the interior reservoirs and

burners. The top of the chimney cowl is beautifully brass plated `PADDINGTON`. Excellent condition throughout.

91 BR-W Signal box diagram LYDNEY CROSSING GROUND FRAME, in ex box rolled condition and dated 12-11-73 Measures 79" x 19¾"

92Smokebox Numberplate 3775. Ex GWR 0-6-0PT built July 1938. Ended its days at Gloucester Horton Road from where withdrawal took

place. Sold to Cashmore Newport 11/2/66, and taken in for breaking on the 21/3/66.

Merchant Navy Nameplate `Wings` from an ex Southern Railway Bulleid Merchant Navy Pacific. One states MERCHANT the other
