System description:
Standard unit The NMEA RS232/422 input signal from Gyro1 and 2 are connected through the relay RL1 and RL2, Gyro 3 are connected through RL2 and into the NMEA Buffer PCB. The 6 Step/deg TTL signal (negative common) from Gyro 1 and 2 is connected through RL3 and RL4, Gyro 3 through RL4, and into the Step Buffer. The output is splitted into four outputs, each phase isolated by diodes. Also each output is fused by 1AT at the Common terminal. The output is 24VDC, Negative step, positive common.

If the Selector is set to Gyro 1, RL1 and RL3 are closed. Set to Gyro 2, all relays are open, and set to Gyro 3, RL2 and RL4 are closed.

Special unit The NMEA RS232/422 input signal from Gyro 1 and 2 are connected through the relays RL1 and RL2, Gyro 3 are connected through RL2, and into the NMEA Buffer PCB. The NMEA O/P Tx8 is connected to the NMEA to Step Converter PCB. (Modified for 5VTTL O/P with negative common) This is feeding the Step Buffer PCB The output is splitted into four outputs, each phase isolated by diodes. W1-OC Class Gyro Inter-switch & Distribution Unit The NMEA RS422 input signal from Gyro 2 and 1 (TB1~4) are supplied as two separately channels into two NMEA to STEP Converters and two NMEA Buffer PCBs. The NMEA to STEP Converters (Modified for 5VTTL O/P with negative common) are then supplying two STEP Buffer PCBs. The outputs from the Buffers are fed through the relay bank that selects output channel from the two Gyros. The Step signal is divided into four outputs (TB 29~48), each phase isolated by diodes. Also each output is fused by 1AT at the Common terminal. The output is 24VDC, Negative step, positive common. The NMEA has 8 separate RS422 outputs (TB 5~20). Also four outputs (TB21~28) for 24VDC power supply to repeaters, each fused at 1Amp, are provided. The unit has a dual 24VDC Power supply input (TB53~54) separated by four diodes and each fused by 4 Amps.
