• 2014/15
• 95 pharmacies took part• 1318 vaccines completed • One pharmacy completed over 80 vaccines• 59.3% patients hadn’t been vaccinated before – highlighting pharmacy is
increasing the overall target by reaching new patients• 13% chose pharmacy as they were unable to attend GPs• 16.4% chose pharmacy as they preferred pharmacy to their GPs• 65% stated that pharmacy was more convenient for them.

• New ADVANCED service - 1st September 2015• Any pharmacy, consultation room, vaccine, data recording, appropriate
trained staff• Eligibility >18yrs old at risk >65 years old (new) Pregnant women Carers
• Additional funding out side of agreed community pharmacy funding• Vaccine cost + £7.64 administration + £1.50 per vaccine set up
• Expectation on going commissioning – based on this years success

Paid for provider online and/or face to face eg, Numark, NPA, Alliance etc
Any authorised provider eg, Numark, NPA, Alliance etc
Documentation required
Print certificate and PGD - provided keep in a safe place
1)Complete and print Declaration of Competence -CPPE website 2)Print off and read Service Level Specification 3) Print off and Sign PGD keep in safe place
Vaccines to be administered ONLY use vaccines stipulated by private PGD
Any flu vaccinations stipulated in the SLA /PGD
Eligibilty Criteria AS stated by private PGD18yrs - at risk groups Pregnant women, Over 65 yrs old and Carers

• Complete training, read SLA, sign DoC and PGD• Check indemnity insurance cover• SOP, needle stick injury etc• Hep B• Sundries - stock, waste bin, adrenaline , needles , plasters etc• Operational – walk- in, appointments , clinics• Promote – Point of sale• Educate the team – benefits of service, their role, eligibility• Actively recruit… Team approach• Link to other Services• Look at Private service for care homes (staff)
