Faith on Friday Calling all 6th graders!!! Want to have fun with your

classmates and get to know Jesus a little better? Join us for

faith on Friday this year. Faith on Friday meets one Friday a

month immediately after school. We engage in some Bible

study and then do a fun event like swimming at the Shoreview

Community Center, Winter Olympics, and Service at Manna

Market. For more information contact Pastor Tim.

Youth Club Youth Club is a four-part Wednesday night program open to

all 3rd-5th grade students. From 4:00 PM - 7:15 PM. Youth

Club includes activity time, worship skills, Bible study, and

dinner. Green registration forms can be found in the narthex.

Sunday School Registration We still have openings for Sunday School for both 8:45 AM and 10:45 AM. Registration is available online on our website or you can complete the pink forms located in the slots to the left of the bulletin board in the narthex and turn in to the office.

Young Families New Year The most important thing for your child’s faith is YOUR faith! If you have kids in elementary school or younger, you are invited to the Young Families potluck and discussion group. Our first gathering of the year is TODAY from 5:00-7:00 PM in Luther Hall. Bring a dish to share!

COW Haunted Hayride Our annual COW haunted hayride is happening on Wednesday, October 26, from 6-9 PM for anyone in 6-12 grade. The cost is $15. Closed toes shoes are required for this event. Sign up is outside the CYF office. For more information contact Nick

Faith and Fellowship We’re changing things up a bit between our two worship services on Sundays. For the first three Sunday during our 9:55 to 10:35 AM Faith & Fellowship time, Our Savior’s pastors will be gathering participants around consideration of the Sunday Scripture readings. TODAY Pastor Steve will look at God’s troubling decision to drown humanity like rats, saving only one family and the animal kingdom to start over. NEXT SUNDAY, Pastor Craig will help us to understand God’s post-flood “Never Again” promise to all life on earth. So grab a cup of coffee and a treat, and join the fun in Luther Hall.

Knitting for Neigbors Meets the first Sunday of the month starting Oct 2. All knitters and crocheters are welcome, regardless of experience level. Care Team Ministry Update Our sincere thanks to Ethel Haugen, Carmen Berg, and Rebeccah Kamundi for their dedicated service. They are moving on to other commitments at OSLC. We welcome to the Care Team Nancy Bultena and Kim Jack. May God bless them as they serve God’s people.

Amazing Grays Event Our next event will be “Always, Patsy Cline” at the Lyric Arts on Sunday, October 16 at 2 PM. We have only 20 tickets available. They will go on sale beginning Sunday, Oct 2 in the office. Tickets are $27.20 each. No presales. You will receive an OSLC ticket that will hold your seat upon receiving your payment. Deadline for purchase is Wednesday, October 12.

Music Groups Kick-Off for 2016-17 Music experience does not just happen! Your participation is a core value and will allow us to have a meaningful and worshipful environment each Sunday morning. OSLC has some wonderful opportunities that are open to all people in the congregation. Please consult the bulletin, ePULSE and /or website calendar for the dates each of these programs will begin. Chancel Singers - Vocal choir for singer’s ages 16 and older and covers various traditional and contemporary choral repertories. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM Cornerstone Band - Adult worship band with vocalists, electric and acoustic instruments. Rehearsals are on Saturday 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Dolce Ringers - Handbells for ages 16 and older with performances during the offering and special music during worship. Special Music - Occasional enhancement of our music and worship experience with solos, duets and ensembles for both vocal and instruments. Celebration Singers - Choir for children 3rd - 6th grade.
