ISLAMIC STUDIESWHAT DID STUDENTS LEARN THIS WEEK?“One main thing I learnt today is to not judge other people’s sins. An example would be instead ofjudging, advise them kindly. This is because the basis of Islam is advice/nasiha.”

“Don’t judge other people’s sins. Everyone sins, so there is no reason for you to believe that you aregreater than them. Instead help them and protect them from these sins.”

“Allah is really there for us all the time and I should remember that. Despite our sins and our strength offaith, it is never too late to turn back to Allah and try to become better. He is forgiving and merciful, along with loving.”

“Always have hope in Allah regardless of the circumstance or situation. This enables us to fasten ourfaith and continue to secure our spiritual connection with our religion. This is evident in various hadith. One of which tells us that Allah will forgive us of any sin as long as one continues to always seekforgiveness in Him.”

“One thing that I learned today about Islam is that Sunnah acts like a shield to prayer and prayer is ashield to Eman.”

“Learning about intent/niya showed me that a lot of us brush off helping others as an afterthought.”
