The Photographs

The most interesting part of this book is the collection of real photographs the authors has gathered and made a part of the story. These pictures leave a lasting impression on the reader and make the characters even more real. Anyone interested in art or photography may enjoy this book even more.

This book has an amazing historical story that is hard to forget. The Book Thief follows a young foster girl, Liesel, living outside Munich during WWII. For some reason she just can not resist books and takes them any chance she gets. She shares these treasures with her neighborhoods and the Jewish man living in her basement. Death’s Outlook on Life

“I witness the ones that are left behind, crumbled among the jigsaw puzzles of realization, despair, and surprise. They have punctured hearts. They have beaten lungs.”

Death

"Did they deserve any better, these people? How many had actively persecuted others, high on the scent of Hitler's gaze, repeating his sentences, his paragraphs, his opus? Was Rosa Hubermann responsible? The hider of a Jew? Or Hans? Did they all deserve to die? The children?”

Death

"I am haunted by humans.”Death

The best part of manga is getting the chance to better understand Japaneseculture. It is full of festivals and trips, family obligations and romance.

A fun and interesting fact about mangais that it is read from right to left just asit is in Japanese. This is done so that the art doesnot need to bechanged.
