to me under the Commonwealth Conciliation andArbitration. Act 1904 -1934 for the change of conditions ofeligibility for membership of the Australian Shipping OfficersAssociation from the following:

" The Association shall consist of and is open to anunlimited number of members, male . and female, whomay be employed on the weekly or salaried staff of anyshipping company, ship owner or shipping agency, andwho are not eligible for membership in any existingregistered organization, limiting its membership solely tothose employed in the shipping industry, together withsuch other persons whether or not employees in theindustry as have been appointed officers of the associationand admitted as members thereof."

The licensee will be required to pay rental half- yearlyor quarterly iu advance; to keep the area clean and freefrom noxious weeds, rubbish, garbage, debris, &c. ; to destroyrabbits and other noxious animals; to keep all fences andgates in good repair and condition ; to make good damage

done by stock to works, buildings, &c. ; to indemnify theCommonwealth against injury or damage or loss of life orstock through the use of the area as a Rifle Range, or for anyother Commonwealth purpose whatsoever ; to remove stockfrom the area when required by the Commonwealth authori-ties to do so ; not to assign or sublet without authority ; touse the area for grazing only and not to interfere withthe Commonwealth's use of the area for any purpose what-soever.

The Commonwealth reserves the right to withdraw thewhole or any portion of an area from the licence withoutpayment of compensation if required for Commonwealth use.

Applicantsshould supply, in chronological sequence, brief particulars of their educational attainments, including any University or technical collegesubjects, and should state the examination and year in which each of the subjects pre - requisite to eligibility was passed (i.e., Leaving orSenior Public, or for transfer from the Fourth to the Third Division).

A Cadet Engineer is required to enter into certain undertakings in respect of his training. The terms of the Deed of Covenant canbe seen on application to the Deputy Director, Posts and Telegraphs, or the Commonwealth Public Service Inspector.
