Nano-silica particles appear to be relatively uniform in size at ~30nm in diameter. Distribution appears to be relatively even but there is some agglomeration of particles. Further work is needed to ascertain the depth of the coating.

The images of coating layers showed that both coating layers are multi-layers coating. The thickness of dip coating layer (around 200 nm) was thinner than spray coating layer (about 500 nm).
