Our reputation has been built on a personalisedand professional service, and repeat bookings from long-standing customers make up a significant part of our revenue.
Our locationsMost of our activities take place at our privately owned venue, ‘The Lake’. Located just ten minutesfrom the M4 (Jct 16), ‘The Lake’ is set amongst rolling Wiltshire countryside, with views of the BroadTown White Horse. This beautiful 33 acre site has a truly private & rural feel, yet has all the facilitiesnecessary to deliver our full range of courses. Our office and stores are also located here, just southof Royal Wootton Bassett. We also deliver activities in the Brecon Beacons National Park or at yourown premises as required.
Our teamOur business depends on the professionalism of our team. We therefore only employ staff who can offer expert instruction and are calm, mature leaders. Our instructors hail from a wide range of backgrounds, including senior management, outdoor enthusiasts, teachers and other public serviceworkers. All are DBS checked, experienced in outdoor pursuits & hold relevant, up-to-date qualifications.

Team building & Induction Days
All teachers know that the dynamics of their groups have an enormous impact on learning. A class of youngsters who support, trust and bond with each other create an atmosphere in which real learning can take place.
Our Team Building and Induction Days are designed to build positive relationships between students.Getting youngsters out of the classroom allows them to break out of their usual roles and gives themnew ways of relating. Back in school, teachers can then build on this positive start.

Residential trips can be the highlight of a student’s school year. They are often the schoolevents that we remember most vividly in years to come. Like Team Building and InductionDays, they have massive potential for improving group dynamics.
H5 do everything possible to take the hard work and - let’s face it - worry out of residential trips. Wehave years of experience in enthusing and managing young people, all our staff are fully trained, andthe company ethos focuses on safety.
We offer a range of residential experiences according to your needs, including:Camping at your school. This is the ideal residential for younger groups, ready for a first night away from home.1 to 4 night residentials at The Lake. For a more complete residential experience, parties can camp at our private 33 acre site in rural Wiltshire.2 to 5 night residentials in The Brecon Beacons National Park.
Our Residentials can include the following activities:Canoeing and rafting Climbing and abseiling Bushcraft (e.g. building a fire & cooking) Trekking Bridge-building Orienteering Archery Survival and building shelters

We are a leading AAP licensed provider of The Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions, havingtrained and assessed over 4,500 young people. We provide complete packages for Bronze,Silver & Gold Expeditions and work with schools, youth groups, corporate identities andlocal authorities to support their DofE Provision.
Sharing your DofE workloadThe Duke of Edinburgh award is the world’s leading youth achievement scheme - a unique adventurethat has allowed thousands of young people to push their personal boundaries and gain new skills -not to mention adding to their CVs and university applications. Most schools encourage participationin the DofE scheme, recognising the huge benefits that it brings to students. However, it does involveinvestment of time from a school - and that’s where we come in. We work with you, taking on asmuch of the workload as possible.

Our activity programmes aren’t just for students – we also offer teacher training sessions.Our programmes allow staff to work in teams or individually at a series of fun and intriguingchallenges. Along with the fun, these sessions provide some real benefits for school teams,including:
