I was living in an apartment complex that was not in a good area. My reason for applying for a Habitat home was that I wanted a better place for my children to live and to have a home to put them in and to better myself, my kids and for our future. - Habitat homeowner Raeshonda Williams.

It’s something you can call your own. You don’t have to pay rent to anyone. It’s wonderful. I have a huge backyard for my kids, I have a garage, I have a washer and dryer, something that will be my own. - Habitat homeowner Letecia Maybin

Zero-Interest, No-Profit Mortgage

Affordable Housing For Hardworking Families

Habitat for Humanityof Lee County, FL

We are pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex handicap, familiar status or national origin.

Many families feel that owning their own home is a dream that will never come true. But with our help, 1000 families have turned their dreams into reality.

Habitat for Humanity of Lee County is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing. Through the use of volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, we build simple, decent housing for struggling families.Since 1982, Habitat has built 1000 homes throughout Lee and Hendry counties. Habitat homes are sold at no profit to the new homeowners who make interest-free monthly mortgage payments. Payments from the mortgages are used to build more homes, making the program a perpetual legacy to the community.
