Hactlink May 2013 Hactl Sponsors the 2nd Cargo Facts Asia Conference Following the success of the inaugural Cargo Facts Asia Conference last year, Hactl has once again sponsored this important annual event. It took place in Hong Kong on 16- 17 April, with more than 150 influenal professionals from the world’s aviaon community coming together for strategy discussions and networking. Cargo Facts Asia aracts delegates from throughout the internaonal air cargo sector, including aircraſt manufacturers, airlines, leasing companies and others. At the 2013 conference, these industry leaders examined trends in the Asia-Pacific region, the market for wide body freighters, the potenal for narrow body freighters, and the future of the Express sector. As a sponsor of the conference, Hactl hosted a tour of SuperTerminal 1 on 17 April. Around 40 conference delegates from different parts of the world joined the tour for insights into the operaon of the leading terminal in Hong Kong. Air Cargo Management Group and the Cargo Facts magazine, the organisers of Cargo Facts Asia, expressed their gratude to Hactl for its connued support of the conference. 5

Hactl Sponsors the 2nd Cargo Facts Asia ConferenceFollowing the success of the inaugural Cargo Facts Asia Conference last year, Hactl has once again sponsored this important annual event. It took place in Hong Kong on 16-17 April, with more than 150 influential professionals from the world’s aviation community coming together for strategy discussions and networking.

Cargo Facts Asia attracts delegates from throughout the international air cargo sector, including aircraft manufacturers, airlines, leasing companies and others. At the 2013 conference, these industry leaders examined trends in the Asia-Pacific region, the market for wide body freighters, the potential for narrow body freighters, and the future of the Express sector.

As a sponsor of the conference, Hactl hosted a tour of SuperTerminal 1 on 17 April. Around 40 conference delegates from different parts of the world joined the tour for insights into the operation of the leading terminal in Hong Kong.

Hactl Receives EVA Air Award for the 3rd Year in a RowHactl is honoured to have received EVA Airway’s Excellent Performance Award for the third consecutive year. The award recognises Hactl’s contribution in providing top-quality service for EVA Airways Hong Kong station.

Presenting the award at the EVA Air Agency Award Dinner on 15 March, James Chiou, General Manager of EVA Airways, Hong Kong Branch recalled the long relationship between EVA Airways and Hactl. The two partners have worked closely since the opening of SuperTerminal 1 in 1998, with Hactl providing physical air cargo handling and cross-border trucking services. In 2012, Hactl added air cargo document handling services to provide EVA Airways with a one-stop service at the terminal.

Hactl’s COSAC-Plus system has won the prestigious Best Business (Application) Gold Award at the 2013 Hong Kong ICT Awards. The award recognises Hactl’s creativity and contribution to Hong Kong’s information and communications technology (ICT) industry.

The ICT Award assessors particularly praised Hactl’s use of various information technologies to create a comprehensive and in-depth solution that meets the needs of the air cargo community. The assessment report also specifically linked COSAC-Plus with Hactl’s continuing revenue growth and its success in maintaining its status as the leading air cargo terminal.

Hactl Receives Korean Air Cargo Award Hactl received Award of Excellence by Korean Air Cargo, recognising its contribution to the freight and cargo handling services for the airline in 2012.

Since 2009, Korean Air Cargo has been presenting the Award of Excellence to its business partner who achieved the highest score on its Cargo Quality Enhancement (CQE) every year. “The CQE is a stringent rating system to evaluate our service providers from around the world. Each station has to rank the various service aspects of the air cargo handling agent each month then submit the ranking to the Cargo Handling Manger at the headquarters for quarterly review. Hactl received the highest score among 40 stations in 2012.” said Derrick Ahn, Manager, Cargo Logistics & Contract Team in Cargo Business Division of Korean Air.

Receiving the award at the International Ground Handling Conference in Vancouver was a pleasant surprise to the Hactl team. Tan Chee Hong, Chief Operating Officer of Hactl, was delighted, “It was an honour to receive the award from S. J. Lee, Team Leader, Cargo Logistics & Contract Team in Cargo Business Division of Korean Air. It was a strong encouragement to the Hactl team to continue to deliver high quality service for our customers.”

The Hong Kong ICT Awards presentation ceremony was held on 8 April at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, followed by a gala dinner. COSAC-Plus was also highlighted in the Hong Kong ICT Award Winners Pavilion at the International ICT Expo in Hong Kong on 13-14 April.

Established in 2006, the Hong Kong ICT Awards are organised by Hong Kong Computer Society and steered by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
