COMMUNITY FUNCTION ROOMSWith the basis of the project being reliant upon the inclusion of many user groups and their different needs, the building’s floor plan has derived from the need for as much flexibility as possible. Therefore, folding partitions enable various configurations of layout for many different scenarios for the central open space.

These include large and small meeting rooms, seminar rooms, work spaces, exhibition space, large cafe and a banquet space capable of seating up to eighty people. There is an additional smaller room which also can be configured in several different ways to enable further uses such as a seniors’ lounge, private dining room, seminar room and an additional meeting space.

HIGH QUALITY RESIDENTIALThe relocation of the existing library services as part of this combined development proposal creates an ideal opportunity to create a high quality residential develop to complement the existing urban fabric.

The site layout has undergone a comprehensive design process, which has resulted in a well-considered scheme that addresses the street scape along both Leigh Road and Addison Road. Relationships have been created in terms of building typology, massing and materiality; all of which have been designed to connect with and tie in with the site’s surroundings. Special attention has been given to the adjacent listed building, Ollerbarrow House, so that the scheme preserves and enhances the setting it’s setting, complimenting scale, massing and overall character.
