Despite the video having a heavy narrative to it, there is also a lot of performer shots showing the band and the artists.

The singers also act out some of the sentences they are singing, such as ‘put your hands up’ and ‘banging on your chest’.

There is also a strong graphic match throughout the video between the performers and the characters in the narrative. For example when the boy is getting beaten up, the kicks link directly afterwards with the kicks from the guitar player.Also when the girl is spinning around in ballet practice, the next immediate shot is the drummer spinning his sticks.

There is also a link with the sound and the actions, for instance in this shot where we see the boy hitting the speed bag very fast. It is also in time with the beat of the song.

Towards the end of the song, when the lyrics become fast and up beat about becoming a champion, the shots of each athlete matches the shots of what they were dreaming about becoming. For example the shot of the girl in an ballet audition matches directly with the image she had of her self doing ballet. This is done by flashing between the two shots and synchronising them together, and also by matching the shot types and shot pace. This represents how both teenagers dreams and ambitions had come true due to the hard work they out in.
