At approximately 265 acres, the Hamilton Enterprise Park is one of the largest industrial/office parks in the tri-state (OH, KY, IN) region. It is owned by the City of Hamilton, providing the City the opportunity to work with prospective businesses, offering competitive real estate and utility rates.

Hamilton is committed to making a gateway into Hamilton Enterprise Park from Tylersville Road worthy of an international company headquarters. At the entrance to the park from Tylersville Road, we propose to create gateway entrance similar to that found at the northern entrance to the park at Hamilton-Mason Road. Additionally, we are aware that Tylersville Road is in need of improvements and have identified it as a infrastructure project to be completed within the first year of company’s operation. The City is committed to the professional aesthetic appeal of the business park and surrounding area, and thus will utilize our land bank and other means available to the city bring about conformity to adjacent properties.

The current entrance will see street improvements and new gateway signage like that featured at the northern entrance to the park.

Utility Development AgreementWith municipally owned and operated utilities, the City of Hamilton is not only one of Ohio’s lowest-cost providers of electricity, natural gas, water & wastewater, but additionally, the City is committed to working with your company from the beginning to ensure that service to the site is ample and will explore ways to control and lower utility costs as you grow. The City may provide a utility incentive and enter into economic development agreement with companies that are large consumers of the City’s services.

Green EnergyDue to the City of Hamilton’s investments in hydroelectric power, the City of Hamilton can certify that 100% of the company’s energy comes from renewable energy sources.

Local Job Creation Tax Credit Offers eligible companies a tax credit against their local corporate earnings tax. This program is similar to the Ohio Job Creation Tax Credit, with the exceptions that the tax credit is granted at the local level and it is a non-refundable credit. Currently, by State law, eligibility for this credit is dependent upon the State of Ohio granting a tax credit through the Ohio Job Creation Tax CreditProgram.

Hamilton is able to offer competitive electric rates and 100% green energy due to its long-term investments in hydroelectric power. The City’s newest hydroelectric facility will open in 2015. At this time, 70% of the City’s energy will come from renewable resources.

Doing Business in HamiltonThe City of Hamilton is working diligently to create a business-friendly environment and has streamlined processes to ensure that business activity can occur more quickly and easier. To achieve this end, there is a strong Economic Development Department in place ready to assist all business needs that arise and the Hamilton City Council has encouraged the City Manager to work with businesses to create jobs and solve problems without needing to go to City Council for approval.

Hamilton’s business-friendly approach has begun to see results. In 2013, 607 new jobs were created or announced and over $80 million in capital investment was secured. Also in 2013, the City of Hamilton and Coon Restoration received the 2013 Gold Excellence in Economic Development award from the International Economic Development Council for the Mercantile Lofts, the Journal-News, and Robinson-Schwenn projects. City Manager Joshua Smith was named one of Cincinnati’s 2013 40 Under 40 and on the “Ones to Watch” List for the Cincinnati Power 100 List for the revitalization efforts underway in downtown Hamilton.
