Welcome

Real Warmth

Nothing is more evocative than

curling up snug and warm in front

of your Hamlet stove on a cold

winter’s evening.

Each stove is carefully built to

European Standard EN13240 using

high quality raw materials and the

latest technology. We are so

confident in their quality that we

offer a 10 year guarantee across the

whole range of Hamlet stoves.

The design team behind Hamlet

stoves has a combined experience

of over 45 years. They have

developed many features to offer

outstanding performance, safety

and cleaner burning. At the heart

of the stoves is their superior clean

burn airwash system. As well as

keeping the fire door sparkling

clean, it increases the efficiency of

the stove and keeps the chimney

and the environment cleaner.

You can rest assured when burning

wood in a Hamlet stove that you

are burning a carbon neutral fuel

that will not be contributing to

increased carbon emissions.

Features Explained Carbon Neutral Fuel

Grate and PADS set for solid fuel burning,

providing an under draught to the fuel bed.

Under Draught

PADS

No other manufacturer offers

a complete system to maximise

the efficiency and

environmental impact of both

wood and solid fuel. We call it

PADS (Primary Air Diversion

System). It allows an under

draught of air beneath solid

fuel or an over draught for

wood to ensure each fuel burns

in its favoured environment.

Secondary burn

The secondary burn system controls

the flow of air within the stove. It

circulates air back into the stove to

allow any unburnt gasses to re-

ignite, resulting in extra heat being

generated, a cleaner chimney and a

cleaner environment.

Pre-heated airwash

With over 20 years experience,

Hamlet’s airwash systems are

proven in the market place.

Hamlet stoves draw in already hot

air from the front of the stove to a

cleverly designed chamber at one

of the hottest points of the stove.

This incredibly hot air is channelled

evenly across the fire door to keep

the fire door glass sparkling clean.

Kooler to touch handle

No matter how hot the temperature

of the stove the kooler to touch fire

door handle remains cold to enable

easier refuelling.

Grate and PADS set for wood burning,

providing an over draught to the fuel bed.

Over Draught

One way of helping to protect

the environment, not just for

ourselves but also for future

generations, is to burn wood

to heat your home.

Fossil fuels such as coal, oil and

gas evolve from natural material

that absorbed carbon dioxide from

the atmosphere millions of years

ago. When burnt, the carbon

dioxide is released, leading to

increased concentrations within

the atmosphere.

The difference between wood and

fossil fuels is one of time scale.

Burning wood also releases carbon

dioxide into the atmosphere.

However, the same amount of

carbon dioxide is absorbed by the

tree whilst growing over the

previous few months or years,

creating a balance between carbon

emitted and absorbed.

Choosing the Right Stove for You

To those that are buying a stove for

the first time, we offer the following

advice to help you purchase the

right stove for your needs.

The primary function of a stove is

to provide heat. Therefore, the most

important consideration when

purchasing a stove is the heat

requirements of the room it will

be placed in.

As a rough guide measure the room

and multiply height x width x

depth (in metres), divide this by 14,

this will provide the average

heating requirements for the

room in Kilowatts.

room, unless there is excessive heat

loss from the room through

windows, doors and stairways, in

which case a Becton 7 with a higher

heat output up to 7kw would be

recommended.

The technical information at the

back of this brochure shows the

heat output of each stove.

You may also want to consider the

size of the stove in relation to

where it will be placed; more often

than not, this will be in a chimney

opening. The technical information

at the back of this brochure shows

the dimensions of each stove.

Regardless of your requirements, we

are sure you will find a stove within

this brochure that will add a warming

glow to the heart of your home.

This formula is assuming that the

required room temperature is 20°c

with an outside temperature of 0°c.

Please remember this is for an

average room. The number of doors

and windows in the room and other

factors such as stairs leading off the

room may increase the heating

requirements. Similarly a well

insulated house may reduce the

heating requirements.

Example:

For a room measuring 4.9m x 4.9m

x 2.4m, multiply 4.9 x 4.9 x 2.4

then divide by 14 which makes 4.1.

Heat output required 4.1Kw,

therefore a Becton Bunny multifuel

with a heat output of 1-5Kw would

provide sufficient heating for this
