OLIVE OIL is the best known and most commonly used vegetal lipid in the food and diet industries due to its extraordinary nutritional and salutary properties. Its composition is similar to the natural human sebum.

HEMP SEED OIL has unexpected benefits for the skin thanks to the Essential Fatty Acids content (75%), especially omega-6 and omega-3 and Vitamins:

Snail slime is known as skin treatment since the time of the Ancient Greeks; for centuries snails have been used both as a food and as a treatment for a variety of medical conditions (minor wounds and warts).

The potential of snail slime was noted by Chilean snail farmers who found that skin lesions healed quickly, with no scars, when they handled snails for the French food market. Edible land snails have long been farmed in France as escargots, but Italy is now the country where snail farming has increased more than 325 per cent over the past two decades.

In recent years, demand for slime from cosmetics manufacturers has increased because of the outstanding efficacy showed.

CRUELTY-FREE SNAIL PRODUCTION METHOD

Gale & Cosm snail breeding farm applies a gentle and no-stress method for slime production.

The snails are collected, put in basins and cleaned with fresh water. The slime production is stimulated by “makingthem angry”, by washing and shaking them.

The procedure takes only a few minutes; then the animals are immediately washed carefully and put in theirenclosures again. The slime is collected, microfiltered with appropriate machinery, to eliminate any type of impurities.

The entire process takes place in a laboratory respectful of the hygiene rules imposed by the A.S.L. (Local Health Unit).No chemicals are used during the extraction process and no cruelty occur to snails.

Gale & Cosm snail breeding farm is located in Tuscany, on a open air territory and covers an area of 5000 squaremeters.

The breeding farm has an organic certification.

The snails live outdoor, in their natural habitat, without coverings. They are fed with selected, rich and variedvegetables (non-GMO), for a natural and complete nourishment.

Slime quality depends on environmental conditions, on the quality of food the snails eat, how they are kept andhow the slime is extracted.

Method:Dissolve ingredients of phase A, heating at 80°C. Dissolve ingredients of phase B heating at 75°C. Add phase B to A mixing under homogenizer. AddC mixing. At room temperature add phaseD+E+F+G and mix.
