The purpose of this manual is to provide instructions to install, operate, and maintain the Small Welding Hand Pieces. We have made every effort to ensure that the information in this manual is accurate and adequate. INSTALLATION 1 Connect the two welding terminals to the output terminals

located on the power supply or transformer. If power supply is equipped with female terminals, use male terminal Adapters, Model MTA, to connect eyelet terminals to the power supply as illustrated.

2 Connect the firing switch plug to firing switch receptacle.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1 See the Power Supply Instruction Manual for setup and operation of the power supply.

2 Check the alignment of the electrodes. Be sure that they are clean and properly shaped.

3 Adjust the Firing Force, the force required to fire the power supply, by turning the slotted screw or knob (on the top of the handpiece) clockwise to increase, or counterclockwise to decrease the force. This cannot be performed on the Model GHP or MTH.

MODEL MTH, MICRO-TWEEZER HANDPIECE • MODEL FS, FIRING SWITCH Model MTH Micro-tweezer (Stock Number 5-011-02) is designed for sub-miniature applications where the welding energy is low. It is furnished with cables, and one pair of permanently fitted silver soldered RWMA-11 electrodes. Firing Switch (Model FW) is required to trigger the power supply.

MODEL PHP • PROBE HANDPIECE Model PHP (Stock Number 5-014-04) is a force-fired, probe handpiece which can be used effectively with DC power supplies rated up to 125 watt-seconds, or with any AC welder capable of half-cycle operation. A slotted screw at the top of the handpiece provides continuously adjustable force settings. The PHP is furnished with one 6WV48 welding cable, one #6 probe cable, one Model EP0402 and EP0802, RWMA-2 probe electrodes. Model PHP/10 is supplied with 10-foot cables.

MODEL THP • TWEEZER HANDPIECE Model THP (Stock Number 5-010-04) is a force-fired, tweezer handpiece which can be used effectively with DC power supplies rated up to 125 watt-seconds, or with any AC welder capable of half-cycle operation. MODEL GHP • GUN HANDPIECE Model GHP, stock number 5-018-01, is a switch-fired handpiece which can be used with DC power supplies rated up to 125 watt-seconds or with any AC welder capable of half-cycle operation. The GHP is furnished with a straight electrode extension, a model HE30GH 30 degree elbow extension, a #6 probe cable, and two EP0402, RWMA-2 probe electrodes.
