B. K. Majumdar Institute of Business Administration (BKMIBA) was setup in 1999 as

a self-financed Institute offering a 3 year BBA programme. As a member of the H.L.

Group of Educational Institutes, BKMIBA shares the H.L. Legacy in terms of quality

of education, standards of discipline and inculcation of values. Within a short span of

12 years BKMIBA has made a strong mark on the undergrad business education as

� Year – I is of total 54 credits, Year – II is of 51 credits and Year – III is of 50 credits,

aggregating to 155 credits for the three year programme. (Grand Project is a 3credit

course across 8th and 9th Trimester. Its credits are to be counted in the 9th Trimester)

� The total number of courses in the 3 year BBA programme will be 58 (48 courses

of 3 credits each; 9 courses of 1 credit each; 1 course of 2 credits each)

� Total contact hours in 3 years will be 1550 hrs.

� Specialization is offered in Third Year.

A unique opportunity, the first of its kind in Gujarat is available to advanced learners of the BKMIBA BBA Programme. Based on merit and Interview, a limited number of students who have excelled at FYBBA will be selected to do additional 11 courses including Foreign Language, Summer Training and Research Work, having 33 more credits during the remaining two years of SYBBA and TYBBA leading to a degree of BBA Honours in three years instead of four years. Students passing out with BBA Hons. degree, if selected to MBA Programme of Ahmedabad University, will be eligible for limited course waivers, credit transfers to the MBA Programme leading to a fast track MBA. They may also be offered advanced admission to the Executive MBA Programme developed together with Judge Business School of Cambridge University. Ahmedabad University is moving towards getting recognition for BBA Hons. degree from other universities to facilitate fast track progression for post-graduate studies.
