Quiet time will be enforced on the bus: Quiet time may be requested at times if you need to hear directions, if the noise level gets too loud or if the bus driver requests it. If you will be quiet at the appropriate times, our trip will be that much more enjoyable. 2. The chaperones want you to have a great time, so cooperate: You are expected to show respect at all times and abide by the rules. We hope your behavior would not warrant any discipline after we return to campus, but that is a possibility. Remember, you are in charge of your actions. We know you will be wonderful. 3. Departure: Tuesday morning we will need to load items on the bus BEFORE anyone gets on, so please be patient and wait for our instructions to get on the bus. If you are NOT on SAGE, you need to deposit your COMPLETELY DISPOSABLE sack lunch in the box for your bus. 4. Bus Drivers take great pride in keeping their busses clean. Throughout the trip, please keep the trash picked up and place it in the provided trash bags/can. Say Thank You as you leave the bus, and say Hello when you board. Be polite at all times, but remember not to talk to the driver while he is driving.

Hannibal Trip April 17-18, 2012

We know this is going to be the best trip ever! Mrs. Smith’s Cell: 316.250.4340

More contact information on the following pages

1. Quiet time will be enforced on the bus: Quiet time may be requested at times if you need to hear directions, if the noise level gets too loud or if the bus driver requests it. If you will be quiet at the appropriate times, our trip will be that much more enjoyable.

2. The chaperones want you to have a great time, so

cooperate: You are expected to show respect at all times and abide by the rules. We hope your behavior would not warrant any discipline after we return to campus, but that is a possibility. Remember, you are in charge of your actions. We know you will be wonderful.

3. Departure: Tuesday morning we will need to load items on

the bus BEFORE anyone gets on, so please be patient and wait for our instructions to get on the bus.

5. In the hotel:

KEEP YOUR DOOR LOCKED! DO NOT open it until you have verified it is someone from your group (you MAY NOT visit other students’ rooms)

CHECK THE FIRE EXITS as soon as you arrive!

NO RUNNING IN THE HALLS of the hotel. Other guests will be disturbed, and we want to be allowed to return!

NO ROOM SERVICE: A yummy breakfast buffet is scheduled for Wednesday morning.

EAT QUIETLY: Use proper manners. Do not leave a mess on the table; clean up after yourselves, and say thank you to the ladies who refill your drinks and serve you; your manners make a statement about our school!

NO PHONE CALLS: Do not call room to room. Do not phone home. Everything is fine at home even though your family misses you very much. You will see your family in 24 short hours!

6. General Information:

Showers: We expect everyone to shower. It will help if two in each room shower in the evening and two shower in the morning

Bedtime: A chaperone will knock on your door between 10:15 and 10:30 Tuesday night. Let them in. They will tell you goodnight and lights out. If the chaperone has to come to your room again, you will be subject to discipline, and your Wednesday might not be as enjoyable as you want it to be. So please obey your chaperone. Your

chaperone will wake you up at the appropriate time (7:30-7:45) the next morning. DO NOT CALL FOR A WAKE UP CALL!

7. Other Rules:

School behavior rules apply! Be courteous to all.

A group is often judged by the behavior of a very small quantity of people in the group, so be sure you think of others before you do something which might reflect poorly on the rest of us!

Do not bring gum or candy! Snacks will be provided on the bus. You will be able to buy snacks when you are shopping.

Consult your itinerary for answers to questions: You will each have a packet containing an itinerary. This is where you will be able to find the answers to questions such as, “When are we going to get there?” or “What are we going to do next?” Teachers will be on the loud speaker giving you information all the time. You will be quite informed.
