Information on AGRITECHNICA 2019 Hannover – 10-16 November 2019

The AGRITECHNICA exhibition takes place in Hannover (10th-16th Nov). This is an extremely important event full of prospects for the Merlo Group, starting with several fresh products that we are eager to show you.

For the Merlo Group, Agritechnica exhibition represents an outstanding chance to provide visibility of the intense work that the Group has done throughout recent years. At the Merlo stand (HALLE 6 - D17), several new products will be on show. Indeed, the agricultural range has recently been updated regarding new engines (compliant with Stage V) as well as from the technical contents viewpoint.

Several new products will be exhibited at the Merlo stand: the exclusive new ELECTRIC E-Worker range, the new TURBOFARMER 65.9CS, the new MULTIFARMER 44.9CS and the entire range of Turbofarmer, which underwent several updates both for what concerns the design and engine equipment (new Stage V engines).

NEW E- WORKER ELECTRIC RANGE

The ability to handle material safely and with maximum ease of use has always distinguished Merlo

telescopic handlers regardless the desired application (agricultural, construction and industrial

environments).

With the aim of always satisfying customer’s needs, the continuous search for specific innovative

solutions and technologies has led Merlo SpA to the creation of an exclusive range of telescopic

handlers with small dimensions and envirnomental-friendly at the same time, as they are 100%

powered by electric batteries.

These machines are designed to reduce completely noise levels and pollution emissions, to

increase manoeuvrability in confined spaces and drastically reduce operating costs compared to

similar models equipped with heat engines powered by diesel fuel. An advanced software,

developed internally by Merlo Group, allows monitoring the status of the batteries and optimising

their use. This outstanding performance esures a working autonomy of 8 hours!

Thanks to these unique features, the new range is the ideal tool for applications in closed

environments such as stables, warehouses, material sheds, factories and underground facilities

and ensures operation and traction even in off-road situations to meet the needs of municipalities,

agriculture, construction and landfills.

The range consists of two models for a total of 2 versions.

At Agritechnica, Merlo presents the updated version of the P27.6 compliant with STAGE V

standards. This ultra-compact segment offers unmatched maneuverability thanks to a constructive

concept that maintains its reduced dimensions. Nonetheless, it simultaneously guarantees

superior comfort to all the other models in the category.

This distinctive feature originates from the use of the modular cabin that equips its bigger brothers:

naming, Turbofarmer, Panoramic, and Roto range.

TURBOFARMER COMPACT

TURBOFARMER 30.9-115

The new Turbofarmer 30.9-115 shown at Agritechnica 2019 is the evolution of the COMPACT

range, already awarded as Machine of the Year 2015.

The new range is completely redesigned and equipped with new engines that comply with STAGE

V regulations, new electronics which corresponds to a new user interface and a new safety

system.

The entire agricultural range adopts the latest electronics developments designed and

implemented in Merlo. This ‘in-house’ development strategy allows a greater integration of the

machine components and together with the integration of the MerloMobility system. This

exclusive tool allows exploiting, in an integrated way, the information detected by the machine

that becomes available within a portal linked to the MerloMobility CONNECTIVITY SYSTEM.

The new range will furthermore be equipped with the Merlo capacitive electronic joystick. This

new joysticks includes a sensor that automatically detects hand presence.

Furthermore, the new Turbofarmer 30.9 introduces three new controls located near the joystick

that allow to set the services oil delivery, block the rotation of the carriage and lock the auxiliary

controls.

This new range is also equipped with the new CDC safety system which introduces several

innovations in terms of safety management and provides further information on the 10.1-inch

colored display (optional) in the cabin.

In addition, the Low Cab version is available as well. This smart technological innovation allows

reducing machine height by 10cm without affecting the cabin size.

A key feature of the Turbofarmer range is the wide selection of products that allows customers to

choose from different versions with exclusive technology to meet an array of several operational

needs.

The exclusive "Boom side-shift" enhances the precision and versatility of these vehicles and allows

to laterally shift the boom so as to better position the load without the need to reposition the

telescopic boom, thus reducing operating times and operating costs.

The Merlo CVTronic intelligent continuous transmission and the 143 HP engine updated to STAGE

V standards guarantee maximum efficiency and high productivity.

The Turbofarmer 38.10 models are equipped with new generation of axles equipped with a new

central differential, new cast structures and a new wheel reducer. This solution increases the

durability of the components and their structural strength. To improve the wheel behavior and,

generally, the entire transmission system during steering, the homokinetic joint in the shaft has

The new Turbofarmer 50.8 is the evolution of the Turbofarmer Heavy Capacity range designed to

work in the most demanding conditions where performance – in terms of lifting capacity and

engine power - makes the difference. The most exclusive aspect has been the ability to keep

compact dimensions that allow increasing the handling and versatility of use.

These machines are powered with a 170 HP engine compliant with the STAGE V standards. This

The ability to adapt to different working conditions and the machine versatility vis-à-vis several

applications (from the agricultural field to construction and industrial sites) are considered crucial

characteristics for the Turbofarmer range since its launch on the market.

Following this philosophy, Merlo SpA has decided to develop a new model, which is able to

condense the most recent customer requests related to application aspects such as managing high

lifting capacities while maintaining unparalleled manageability and easy use.

The Merlo Group presents at Agritechnica the Turbofarmer 65.9CS, a concentration of innovation

in terms of both design and content. The new construction layout that integrates innovative

technical solutions is based on the other models presented at Agritechnica and has been

developed with significant benefits in terms of performance, efficiency, reliability and reduced

maintenance time, ensuring top-range safety levels.

These models offer the new Hi-Flow hydraulic system. The new Merlo hydraulic distributor

Not just sensations, but outstanding safety too. The courtesy of the unique levelling system

corrects lateral tilt of up to 11° to enable loads to be lifted vertically, and the advanced load

management system - CDC – is provided as standard item. In addition, cabs are FOPS - Level II -

and ROPS-certified.

Nothing is in impossible/Nothing is unattainable. Thanks to the new 170 HP engine, the high

performance Load Sensing and Flow Sharing hydraulic system which can deliver more than 165

l/min and MCVTronic (the very latest continuously variable transmission), this machine can

perform any type of work in the industrial and agricultural sectors.

Comfort

The new cab is equipped with Merlo’s patented damping system, drastically reducing vibrations

and noise, while its ample dimensions ensure maximum comfort and visibility for the operator -

the very best place where to work! The tac-lock system for hydraulic tool locking further enhances

operating comfort.

Designed to last, the machine structure has been built for over-time endurance; the telescopic

boom ensures maximum precision of movement anytime. Indeed, even with high loads and on the

“steel belt” protects the entire structure from any shock or bump.

This Merlo range represents the maximum expression of versatility, combining the performance

of a telehandler with those of an agricultural tractor.

The exclusive high visibility suspended cabin allows operating in the most diversified conditions

while maintaining the highest standards of comfort, ergonomics and safety.

The rear electronically-controlled PTO, combined with the CAT3 three-point linkage for the

Multifarmer 44.9 with a lifting capacity of 7000 Kg and CAT2 for the 34.9 with a lifting capacity of

3000 Kg, allows to use multiple equipment range. Therefore, it is an outstanding useful machine

for farms and farmers.

The MF44.9 Multifarmer presented at Agritechnica represents the evolution of the Multifarmer

40.9 thanks to performance improvements in terms of lifting.

NEW CAPACITIVE JOISTICK FOR AGRICULTURE RANGE

Merlo presents at AGRITECHNICA the new capacitive joystick developed for the agricultural sector,

which responds to market demands.

This solution was developed to improve ergonomics, by reducing operator fatigue and increasing

daily productivity.

The joystick integrates the commands of the machine operational functions with the ones needed

to manage the transmission.

Two sensors “integrated in the joystick” automatically detect the presence of the operator's hand.

The consequence is the possibility of using the joystick in a more comfortable, simple, and intuitive

way. In the front part, there are the proportional controls of the boom (extension / retraction,

auxiliary functions, neutral gear). In the rear part, there is the direction selector switch, which

allows the operator to quickly manoeuvre the joystick providing full-safety conditions. The

"reverse" shuttle is replicated on the left side of the steering column too.

The cross movements of the joystick (transverse and longitudinal ones) allow the control of the

boom movement functions (lifting / lowering, carriage rotation).

MERLOMOBILITY 4.0 Certified Technology

The Merlo telehandlers range offers the chance of exploiting an exclusive technology to

transform their machines into even smarter ones. The TELEMATIC SYSTEM, also known as the

MerloMobility, is a technology whereby the Customer exploits, in an integrated way, the

information gathered by the machine.

Merlo Mobility is a flexible tool for optimizing the operational monitoring of customer’s

machines throughout different business sectors.

System features:

Telemetry and remote monitoring of machine

usage information;

Integrated technology with management

information system;

Machine Integration with the customer

management system;

Possibility of interfacing with existing IT

system.

The system displays in real time the machine status and location;

The customer receives a detailed inventory of the machine's activities:

New CDC security system

Taking advantage of the new electrical circuit, Can-Bus, and all the sensors located in the hydraulic

cylinders of the machine, the new CDC safety system was already introduced in the stabilized

Panoramic range.

The new interface includes, as an option, a 10.1-inch colored display (STD on High Capacity and

Multifarmer ranges).

MOVEMENT SPEED MANAGEMENT

In the event of movement blocking, a pop-up shows the customer the movements that can still be

performed in order to simplify the management of the machine.

With the new multifunctional digital display, it is possible to set, through simple commands, the

maximum movement speeds for the main hydraulic controls:

Extension and return speeds;

Lifting and lowering speed;

TRE EMME tool carrier tractors

MM160MC e MM350X

The Tre Emme range is a reference point for the segment of tool-carrying tractors. This range of

machines is designed for jobs such as snow clearing, forest cleaning, road maintenance and special

uses, like road-rail installations that allow replication in other applications such as railway

environments.

The new MM160MC will also be at exhibition, fitted with side hedge-trimmer boom, ideal for road

maintenance. The 3-point linkage and hydraulic PTO allow equipping the machine with different

attachments. This enables the TreEmme tractors to fulfil different tasks allowing them to be used

all year long as well as making them the ideal solution for municipal companies.

The second model is the MM350X, ideal for heavy-duty applications and installations that require

high engine and hydraulic power such as blades, snow turbines, hydraulically controlled forestry

shredders or high capacity winches.

CINGO Tracked carriers

To conclude our presentation regarding models shown at Agritechnica, on Merlo stand you will

find the multi-tool transporters of the Cingo series.

Their multi-purpose and versatile nature are two characteristics that set the Cingo system as a

unique asset in its class. The concept and the design of these tracked carriers ensure maximum

lateral stability on slopes thanks to the low centre of gravity, which – in synergy with the track

transmission system – provides more stability on irregular and uneven ground putting less

pressure on the ground.

The wide range of models with capacities ranging from 400 kg up to 1200 kg and the patented

Merlo quick coupling device for multi-function ranges enable these machines to be used in several

fields of application.
