Salary sacrifice [sæləri sæk.rɪ.faɪs]

An agreement between an employee and their employer for the employee to sacrifice a part of their salary in return for a non-cash benefit. Salary sacrifice can be financially beneficial for both employee and employer as non-cash benefits may be exempt from tax and/or National Insurance.

Get started as soon as your company signs up for one of our schemes.

Products and services included in a salary sacrifice scheme are paid for by your company. Repayments are taken out of your salary before payday.

Because your official pay is technically less, you’ll often make big savings in tax and National Insurance.

How many perks am I allowed?

You can have the lot – we won’t judge. Just remember there are some that you can only redeem once or twice. We’ll let you know when that happens though.

How does my shopping card work?

If you’ve redeemed our shopping card, you probably know that it’s basically an all-powerful gift card, accepted in over 50 brands nationwide.

When you load money onto your card, we’ll give you an 8% discount. For example, load £100 and you’ll only pay £92. That’s where you make your saving. You can spend your balance just like an ordinary gift card.

Please note: top ups can take a few days to appear on the card.

I’m not receiving your emails!

I’ve got a new phone, how do I update my insurance?

If you’ve insured your phone with us and you want to update your details, send us an email to hello@perkbox.co.uk and we’ll be in touch.

We understand your panic. Firstly, make sure you’ve added hello@perkbox.co.uk to your safe sender list, then have a root around your spam folder just in case we’ve been relegated there. Please get in touch if you’re still having trouble after that.

My husband/sister/cat would love Perkbox – can I refer them?You sure can! If you’re an admin user you can do it from the comfort of the Perkbox website. Find details in the Pay Less Together section of Admin Preferences. If you’re not an admin user or you’re just feeling old fashioned, you can always drop an email to hello@perkbox.co.uk and we’ll be in touch.
