The robber looked up at the policeman, shocked. "A Bible verse? What?" The policeman says, "Yeah, a Bible verse." Selling Bones? A telemarketer calls, "I would like to speak with Max, please." The homeowner reluctantly replies, "I suppose that would be possible, but it seems rather strange." The telemarketer responds, "Why would that be?" The homeowner answers, "This is the first time we've ever had a call for the dog." Briefs If you answer the phone with, "Hello? You're on the air!" most

telemarketers will hang up. The easiest way to figure the cost of living is to take your income and add

twenty percent. A professor gathered the papers after a test and found a $100 bill attached to

one of them with a note saying: "A dollar per point." When the professor returned the graded tests, the student got $64 change.

Sometimes, someone unexpected comes into your life, makes your heart race, and changes you forever. We call those people police officers.

Have You Heard... There was a lady who lived by herself. One day she came home and found her house was being robbed and the robber was still there! Well, this lady was very well versed in the Bible and so she shouted at the robber, "Acts 2:38!" That's the Bible verse that says "...repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins..." Today we begin our BGMC March Madness, and it will continue throughout the month of March. The girls/women are competing against the boys/men to see who can raise the most money for BGMC. The goal for the month of March is $5,000. Let’s bring in all the lost coins and dollars that belong to Jesus!

The Missions Committee will meet this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. If you would like to be part of this team, come join in the planning and discussions of upcoming mission projects. The Focus Group home meetings will take place:

Tuesday, February 4, for the FUSE Group

7:00 p.m. - James & Carolyn Powell’s home

Thursday, February 6, for the Crowley Classics.

6:30 p.m. - Benny & Nelda Brewer’s home

6:30 p.m. - Bill & Carol Nelon’s home

Ladies, the nine-week women’s Bible study on the book, Expecting to See Jesus, by Anne Graham Lotz, continues this Friday. The class meets at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall and will continue each Friday morning until March 13. Books are available to purchase from Wanda Doyel. Invite your friends and neighbors to attend.

The Crowley Classics are providing snacks for the children and workers at Pleasant Hills Children’s Home in Fairfield. The cost of snacks is $200.00 each month. To participate in this effort, mark your offering envelope with PHCH or “Classics Project” and place your contribution in today’s offering.

PRAYER REQUEST HOTLINE If you have a prayer request, please text or call our prayer chain coordinator, Lynn Lilly, at 650.556.9989 or email to [email protected].
