Another Birthday’s rolled around and I thought of all the years

That we’ve been friends together, through laughter, joy and tears

We’ve shared many an adventure and done some crazy things

I love all the remembering and the happiness it brings.

We’ve talked about our blessings and how we have enough And though a gift is always fun, how we don’t need more stuff. Even when you’ve had great trials, I’ve seen you freely give And think of those less fortunate, the kind of lives they live.

So, I collected all my quarters, my nickels and my dimes

That I’ve been saving for a year and made for you this rhyme

I even found some pennies, and loonies, toonies too

And took them to a bank machine to make this gift for you.

There was one hundred eighty two dollars and a few cents too

I donated it to someone else, as a birthday gift from you.

I hope as others care and give that we will find a way

To build a home for Ana and her family too, I pray.
