Fun Butterfly Facts

Butterflies are insects. A butterfly's lifecycle is made up of four

parts, egg, larva (caterpillars),pupa (chrysalis) and adult. Butterflies

attach their eggs to leaves with a special glue. Most caterpillars are

plant eaters (herbivores). Fully grown caterpillars attach themselves

to a suitable twig or leaf before shedding their outside layer of skin

to reveal a hard skin underneath known as a chrysalis. An adult

butterfly will eventually emerge from the chrysalis where it will wait

a few hours for its wings to fill with blood and dry, before flying for

the first time. Join Tracy on Saturday April 27th to the Dancing

wings Butterfly Garden at Strong Museum.

The student's from Villa of

Hope will be here for our Monthly

Ice cream social on Thursday, April 11th. Our annual Easter Egg

Hunt will be on Saturday April 13th, don't forget to sign your

Grandchildren up for a fun filled spring event.

Our great entertainment to look forward to this month includes

Dick Stacy, Joe Miltsch, Top Brass, Ernie Capone, Standard Time,

Franca & Franco, Bob Neutz, Tom Dunn. So bring your dancing

shoes and join in on the fun!

Happy Easter April is National Poetry Month

Throughout the National Poetry Month,

poets, publisher, schools, literary

enthusiasts, and word lovers the world

over celebrate the cadence and song of

poetry. Poetry blast, library readings,

projects and so much more will take

place. Every year there is ample

opportunity to immerse yourself in the

best and latest poetry. Experiment and

play with language and words letting

them trip off your tongue and through

your mind creating images of alliteration

or motivate action. Study a style you've

wanted to try or delve in delve into an

edgy topic. Wander off into a world of

backward speak and slither past the

echoing valleys of the repetitive chorus.

Your poem is calling to you. Come join

Poetry with Marylou April 24th she will

inspire you to start your own poetry.

Path to Well-Being

Men's Beer and Wing Social

Every month we have our men's beer and wing social hour. It's a great time

for the men to interact with each other and talk about what they did for a

living and also what their hobbies and interests are. You would be

surprised to find out some of you may have worked at the same places, or

have the same interests. Socializing is a great way to relieve stress, and

depression. Getting involved with new activities will help you "Thrive" and

stay young at heart. Social contact can make a big difference in how you

feel and in how well you cope with problems, both large and small. People

with strong social networks are often healthier and happier than those with

few social connections. Please come join our next Men's social hour on

Wednesday April 24th at 3:00pm. Get ready for a game of pool too!
