Happy New Year I would like to welcome all returning children and wish them the best with the

new term. I would also like to welcome on board all new students who joined us

this term and looking forward to a wonderful year ahead.

The term started with one of the children’s most favourable themes ‘Animal

World’. During the theme the children will be leaning about different animals

like pets, farm animals, sea creatures, birds and mini beasts. They will also

learn about their natural habitat like the rainforest, the arctic region and life

under the sea. We have organized a visit from Posh Paws where the children

managed to see, feed and touch some pets. You can enjoy the children’s

pictures during the visit on our Communicator and our Facebook page

Posh Paws visit is always a good way to teach children about looking after

animals and treating them with care. I would like to thank you for your

generous contribution to the animal sanctuary as we raised about 1260 Dhs and

lots of pet food.

Town Centre is now offering a variety of after school classes. We have ‘Kidz

Art’ on Sundays and ‘Kids Yoga’ on Mondays and ‘Soccertots’ on Wednesdays. If

you would like to sign up your child, seats are still available in all classes.

Last but not least I would like to thank you all for taking the time

welcoming me in Town Centre Nursery and I am looking forward to a busy

fun year with the children.

Sweet peas

‘Books and Stories’ has been a great topic where the children have started repeating words and

have begun to talk a lot more than they were. We have been working on the story ‘We are going

on a bear hunt.’ there were mixed feelings which came with this story some who were greatly

involved with the story and some who were not too happy with the bear, over all it was concluded

with a physical activity in the garden where the children went on a bear hunt.

We also celebrated the U.A.E. National Day, it was fun children recalling where we live in Dubai, and making

the flag and tasting some dates as part of the celebration.

We celebrated the end of the term with our parents doing a craft with their children , thank you to all

those parents who came. It is always a great feeling when parents come and support their children and us.

Daisies

It has been such a productive month in our class with so many celebrations and activities happening and

the children have been happily involved and being part of it. We celebrated the U.A.E National Day where

the children made flags and were wearing the colours of the flags to celebrate the union.

So much fun decorating the tree and letting the festive activities begin.

It has been a very exciting month with lots of special events and activities. We are now finished

with our topic and looking forward to start a new one. The ‘Animal World’ theme is always a very

fascinating and engaging topic. We will be focusing on jungle, farm and aquatic animals and their

habitats.

We celebrated UAE National Day. It was lovely to see children taking part on this special day by

wearing UAE flag colours and proudly parading around the playground.

We hope you have enjoyed our winter concert as we practiced hard and children performed

beautifully.

Poppies

December has been a very busy month with so many different events.

We are finished with the topic of ‘Books, Stories and Rhymes’, and are so excited for the new topic

the ‘Animal World.’ We will be looking at animals that live in the jungle, in the farm, in the water and

discussing their habitat.

We had a parade to celebrate U.A.E’s 45th National Day. The children painted flags and dressed up

in colours related to the flag and we sang the national anthem and enjoyed learning about the U.A.E.

We cannot believe that we are already at the end of term 1, it has gone by so quick.

2 The winter concert was such a success, the children did an amazing job and we couldn’t have done it

without the support from all the parents. The children have come such a long way since the term

started and have made lots of progress. We are all very happy and proud.

Hello Everybody,

In this edition we look at all the exciting activities and celebrations that have taken place in our nursery over

the month of December. To begin with, we celebrated the 45th National Day of the UAE by coming to nurse-

ry dressed in the colours of the national flag and national costume. Our outdoor play area brightened up as

the children gathered together and marched waving their flags.

Following this we had our ‘Winter Concert’ which was attended by many parents. To everyone's delight the

children sat so beautifully and sang many seasonal songs which they had been practicing so diligently. The

small garden was decorated with different art and craft work that the children had prepared and this added

a bit of festive sparkle and cheer to a very successful morning.

We celebrated the end of a very successful term with a class party. The children brought food and snacks

to share and the day was filled with fun, games, music and a lot of dancing.

All of us at Sunflowers would like to thank you for supporting your child through their learning journey and

look forward to a great partnership in the coming new year.

Buttercups

We can’t believe that term 1 has ended, what a wonderful journey it has been for the class. The children

have developed in so many areas and are becoming more and more independent. Thank you for all the

support and love you have shown towards us.

This month we celebrated the UAE National Day and we had our Winter Concert. How amazing were the

children at the concert. They preformed really well and remembered all the songs. We are all very proud

of them!

Lilies

It has been a wonderful Term 1 in the Lilies class. The children have excelled this term and made

wonderful progress.. This month we celebrated the UAE National Day and also had our Winter

Concert. The children performed really well for the parents with lots of enthusiasm and smiles. We

are very proud of them.
