Images: In pairs or small groups, students work together to discuss each of the images and write a story based on the 12 images. Encourage the use of the phrasal verbs from the previous task. Afterwards, each group retells their story to the class. You could also create a jigsaw task and ask a student from each group to join another group to increase the opportunity for speaking interaction. (All the ‘As’ in this group, all the ‘Bs’ in this group etc)

Watch the short film https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8xRmJUf9q4 Play the animated short film. Ask students to take note of the story and report back to their group at the end. How does their story compare to the story in the animation?

Extension Task:

Ask students to write their own love story using some of the phrasal verbs from earlier. If they are creative, they could also sketch a storyboard!
