Within busy workplaces and collaborativeenvironments there is a need for furniture thatencourages social interaction, intimate meetingplaces, privacy, and places of refuge where focus,paying attention and listening are essential. Harc hasbeen created to facilitate the basic need to listen andto provide a place to cut out or reduce the surroundingnoise. The name Harc echoes the arc shape with itssweeping curves that wrap around to create a warmand cosy enclosure.

The design references back to 1950’s styling withcharacteristically sophisticated low and high backsofas, all designed on leg frames either in woodor aluminium.

WoodAll of the wood used in Ocee Design’s soft seating products is sourced from managed forests.Timber supplied to Ocee Design is sourced only from countries whose governments follow statutory reforestation programmes to ensure the permanent availability of timber.

Foam Soft seating products are manufactured with high quality cut Combustion Modified High Resilience Polyurethane Flexible Foam.

WebbingOcee Design use superior quality webbing in soft seating products.

AdhesivesOcee Design aim to ensure that all adhesives used are water based and bio-degradable.

Metal powder coating Powder coated frames and legs are treated with a paint classified as not dangerous according to the directive 1999/45/EC - nothing in the paint is classified as hazordous to health or to the environment. Testing

Separation/recycling of individual parts instructionsSeparate the chairs into parts. None of the parts in a chair can cause damage to health or the environment.

All metal and plastic parts can be disposed of and recycled by an approved environment and raw materials organisation.Wooden materials can be recycled. Foam can be recycled and crumbed for use in new foam products.

Furniture Recycle & Referbish programmeWe offer customers the option of having old chairs professionally refurbished or disposed of in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. We work with partner organisations to support initiatives that enable old chairs to be reused by schools, charities and community groups.
