The ‘Permion’™ surface coating available in the Premier Performance and Valenza ranges provides superior durability. The coating consists of extra hard crystalline minerals suspended throughout UV cured urethane, which provides up to 15 times more abrasive resistance to everyday traffic compared to standard site applied coatings. No sanding. No site coatings. No mess.

The Elite Collection uses cross-grained hardwood plies of either Oak or Birch situated at 90 deg to each other for extra dimensional stability. This Engineered Construction is vital for installations in regions experiencing changing climatic conditions, providing more stability compared to traditional solid strip flooring. This type of construction also allows the hardwood floor to be glued down to the subfloor and obtain acoustic rating standards above the Building Code of Australia (BCA) standards* for high-rise developments.

Extra Durability. The Acrylic Impregnation Process. The Premier Performance range features the Acrylic Impregnation Process within the top layer, providing up to 150% increase in indentation resistance compared to non-impregnated floors, allowing extra durability for wear resistance, especially in commercial applications.

The Lifestyle Hardwood Collection is designed to suit any lifestyle budget and interior style. Whether it be a new home or an apartment, the choice of Australian and Exotic species will add value and charm to your interior. Available in 1, 2 and 3-strip configurations, the choice can provide you with many visual options. The ‘Standard & Better’ hardwood grade includes some of the wood’s natural characteristics and graining…all with a story to tell from nature.

For dimensional stability purposes, the Australian species core and backing consist of a Eucalypt ply. This quality Engineered Construction also allows the hardwood flooring to be installed either using the ‘floating floor’ method or glued directly to the subfloor. The hardwood strip profiles also vary from straight-edge to micro-bevelled edges for an authentic wood visual.

The quality of its UV cured urethane surface coating, consisting of crystalline minerals, provides easy maintenance and excellent durability to resist against demanding traffic. No sanding. No site coatings. No mess.

Armstrong and its hardwood suppliers, either through the Tropical Forest Foundation (TFF) or the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), have certification or are working to the applicable international standards for certification. Both the TFF and FSC Standard for Chain of Custody involve an accredited 3rd party auditor to verify that lumber is sourced legally.

In addition, Armstrong does not produce, purchase or sell any products that use raw materials in violation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

Armstrong proudly sponsors the American Forests Global Releaf programme as well as the Hardwood Forestry Fund and National Arbor Day Foundation and, in 2001, received the Gifford Pinchot Award – the only hardwood company to receive this award.
