Natural Hanuman TempleThe complex houses a natural temple of a 100 year old Hanuman murti which was kept under a small banyan tree sapling 10 years ago, and now rests within an enclosure formed naturally by the tree itself as it grew to it’s current majestic form.

Vrindavan - Religious Significance
Located in Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, India, Vrindavan is one of the favorite religious destinations in India. It is on the site of an ancient forest believed to have been the area where Bhagwan Krishna spent his childhood days. Vrindavan has played an important part in Hindu folklore since ancient time and serves as a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site, as it is widely believed that Vrindavan is the exact replica of the supreme Gow-loka Vrindavan from the spiritual sky.
Millions of Radha Krishna devotees make a pilgrimage annually to Vrindavan, participating in festivals enacting episodes from the life of Krishna. The town includes many hundreds of temples dedicated to the worship of Radha and Krishna.
Krishna was raised in the cow-herding village of Gokul by his foster parents Nanda Maharaj and Yasoda. The Bhagavata Purana describes Krishna's early childhood pastimes in Vrindavan forest wherein he, his brother Balarama, and his cowherd friends stole butter, engaged in childhood pranks and fought with demons. Along with those activities, Krishna has been described meeting and dancing with the local girls of Vrindavan village (and especially Radharani) known as gopis. Those pastimes were the source of inspiration for the famous Sanskrit poem, Gita Govinda, by the Orissan poet, Jayadeva.
The ancient name of the city, "Brindaban," had been named after its ancient groves of "Brinda," i.e. Tulsi, with “ban” meaning a grove or a forest. Two small groves still exist, Nidhivan and Seva kunj.
Vrindavan - Present Day
The World’s Tallest Krishna temple is coming up at Vrindavan. It stands tall, majestic and graceful at a stunning 700 ft (200 m). It is called the Vrindavan Chandrodaya temple, and is an effort of ISKCON Bangalore. Find out more at http://www.vcm.org.in/
The other most popular temples include Shri Bankey Bihari temple, ISKCON Vrindavan Krishna Balaram temple, Kripalu Prem mandir, Radha Raman temple, Radha Damodar temple and Madan Mohan temple.
Infrastructure development in Vrindavan has now come in focus following the dramatic increase in worldwide visitors to the city. Development spend by the Government has grown multifold since Vrindavan is now recognized as an important heritage and tourist destination.
Vrindavan is well connected by road. The closest broad gauge railway is at Mathura, on the North Central railway line. Mathura is connected to all major cities of India such as Delhi, Mumbai, Agra, Jaipur, Gwalior, Chennai, and Lucknow etc. How to reach Vrindavan is therefore, not at all inconvenient.
The nearest airport is at Agra which is around 50 kilometers away. Regular flights connect it from Delhi, Kolkata, Varanasi, and Mumbai. The Delhi International Airport is the nearest airport for international flights and other destinations in the country.
This small town is 150 kilometers from Delhi and 50 kilometers from Agra. As it falls on the Golden Triangle circuit of Delhi-Jaipur-Agra it has excellent roads connecting it. There are regular buses and taxis from Delhi. UP roadways and Haryana roadways buses also connect it to Mathura and other towns. The main bus stop in Vrindavan is near the ISKCON temple.
