Announcements Staff Notes: Jane McBride will be on vacation July 9–20. For pastoral care needs, please contact Doug Donley, pastor of University Baptist Church, at 763-242-6553. Sarah’s summer “Office Hours” will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10a-4p. Sarah will be physically in the office on Tuesdays, and in and out the other days. These hours will continue through Labor Day. Brad is at church most days (except Wednesday) from 10a-2p. Byron is working at home. Water Wednesdays. Our virtual summer day camp, ”Water Is Life” was shared with a dozen other Minneapolis congregations. We will continue with once a week “Water Wednesdays” from July 8–Aug 26. In a park, in your neighborhood, or in your own backyard and out your window. Please join Lisa for a time of purposeful listening outside in some of our parks and natural areas. She will be out twice a month July through October on the second Saturday of each month at 10a and third Thursdays at 11a. The location will vary, but this month’s gatherings will take place at Cold Water Spring, at the southern end of Minnehaha Park. We will meet right near the handicapped parking area. You may drive in to drop off your lawn chair, then go back to the paid parking all along the roadway. There will be short walk on the paved road to the meeting site. (Let Lisa know if the walk will limit your participation; she can give you a ride from your car to the meeting area.) In case of rain, the gatherings will be cancelled. Need a listening ear? Befrienders are trained in the ministry of listening. They are available to walk with you in difficult times like these, when you are facing illness, grief, crisis, and life change. Contact Jane McBride to learn more.
