On November 11, 1963 HARRY HALL, an inmate a t theFederal Correctional Inst i tut ion (FCI), Terminal Is land ,California, was contacted in view of his request to the

Secret Service a t Los Angeles, California on November 29, 1963tha t he be contacted inasmuch as he f e l t he had informationof value concerning JACK RUBY of Dallas, Texas . Present a tthe interview was Special Agent in Charge GUY H. SPAMAN ofthe Secret Service, Los fu1geles, California .

HALL advised tha t his reason for contacting lawenforcement was that he desired to get out of FCI and beforehe gave any information, he wanted some assurance of th isfact . ·

HALL was advised tha t no such assurances couldbe given to him and i f he had information t should be gi vento the FBI inunediately in view of the f a ct that to concealvaluable information would in effect be obstructing thecurrent investigation with regard to JACK RUBY. HALL was

- advised that tne fact that he did furnish information wouldbe · made kriovm to the U.S . Attorney a t Lo s Angeles for\'lhatever consideration he might wish to grant to such anact on the part of HALL. HALL advised that a t tha t time JACK RUBY wasoperating a club, the name of which HALL could not reca l l ,but he advised that i t lool,ed sort of l ike a shed of somekind and was located in a ra ther run down neighborhood andRUBY charged admission to get into th i s part icular club.

HALL advised that following h i s introduction toRUBY, he became fr iendly with him inasmuch as he HALL, wasbusy acting as a promoter a t tha t time and JACK RUBY hada Negro entertainer in connection with whom he asked HALL

B f t X - ~ J ~ Q . 1 . ~ J ~ and uponhis a r r iva l in Dalla?., he h a ~ contacted a .t>1eallhy individualby the name of D I C K 1 ~ 1 I D R A D E , whose baclcground HALL lcnewfrom contacts tha t TIALL had in Los Angelen HALL posing ·as a member of a \'lealthy oi l family, l'ras able to str•ike ·up an associat ion with ANDRADE and tlu ough him \  as able togo to the Petroleum Club in the Balcer Hotel , Dallas , Texas.HALL advised tha t he developed th is associa t ion because ofthe fac t tha t ANDRADE had a reputa t ion as a heavy be t to rand through his associa t ion with N D P ~ D E he was able to beintroduced and vouched for to ~ I D R D E • s bookmaking source a tMontreal, Canada. This then enabled HALL to place extremelylarge bets without ut i l i z ing any money.

HALL advised tha t he took JACK RUBY as his guestto the Petroleum Club on one occasion and explained h is se tup to RUBY which impressed RUBY very much. RUBY when he

HALL advised tha t he called RUBY a t th is number,l·lhich was a store sellin[; off-brand merchandise and l ocatedon the west side of North State Street about a half blocksouth of Grand in Chicago. HALL advised that the individualwho ran this store, whose name he did not reca l l had in

addition to the material tha t \ laS on the shel Jes in front ,guns for sale to those individuals desiring them.
