Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows part 2 Media Case Study
Harry potter has recruited his fellow students to help him defeat voldemort for the final
time. They do this by destroying the 7 horcruxes which are keeping voldemort alive, in the
film harry potter and the deathly hallows part 1 harry and his best friends Ron andHermione destroyed several of the horcruxes meaning in part 2 of the book they find the
remaining horcruxes. Neville Longbottom takes it upon himself to gather his fellow students
from Hogwarts together to help Harry Defeat Voldermort. This film is based upon the last
book in the harry potter series and was split in two. The film ends with the audience having
an insight to what the characters get up to after leaving Hogwarts as 19 years on they are
still best friends and Hermione and Ron are a couple are as Ginny and Harry both couples
have children attending Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry, this then closes the
final chapter of the film series which started in 2001.
The genre of this film is an epic fantasy with all ages watching it. The films rating is a 12
however films previously have been rated a PG. The film and its prequel together in total
cost 250 million.
The film was directed by David Yates however there have been three previous directors
working on the Harry potter series. David Yates has previous directed the final four Harry
Potter movies.
Many actors and actresses have become famous by staring in the harry potter series
including Daniel Radcliffe who plays Harry Potter, Emma Watson who plays Hermione
Granger and Rupert Grint who plays Ron Weasley, also Tom Felton who plays Draco Malfoy
these actors have shot to stardom ever since the first film was released they are now
international stars and have won awards because of staring in this series of films. Other
famous actors include Alan Rickman who plays Severus Snape and Maggie Smith who plays
Professor McGonagall and Julie Walters who plays Molly Weasley. Michael Gambon who
plays Albus Dumbeldore also had brief stint in this movie. Mathew Lewis who plays Neville
Longbottom has quite a big part in the final movie all of these actors have played their
characters from the first film.
The movie was filmed in the various studios Including the Warner Bros picture Studio which
is based in California in the United States which was founded by Jack, Harry, Albert and Sam
Warner. Another Studio it was produced in HeyDay Studios which is based in London in
the United Kingdom which was founded on 1997. It was also filmed in the Castle in Scotland
which has featured regularly throughout the film series.
The Warner Bros Picture Distributed the film worldwide and is owned by Jack, Harry, Albert
and Sam Warner.
Harry potter and the deathly hallow part 2 is the only film in the series which has been
filmed in 3D and it was filmed on Digital and uses a lot of CGI throughout the film series.

July 2011 in the UK and then released in the UK 15th
July 2011
and was first released in 3d and then later released in 2D a week later. In the USA the film
premiered on 11th July 2011 and then released on the 15th
July 2011 the same day as it was
released in the UK.
The final film was screened worldwide to mark the end of the Harry potter series.
The Film was marketed through trailers and adverts on TV and the Internet and also
billboards across the world and also on Posters and transport across the world such as Buss.
